Chapter 32: Your wife?!
"I'm sorry for deceiving you." Ye Shuxin said, looking up at the tall woman.
"You're joking, right?" She stopped crying because of what she said.
She crossed her arms and raised a brow at her. Ye Shuxin wasn't hiding her hostility against the woman in front of her. "Do I look like I'm joking to you?"
Jin Lisa pursed her lips as she looked at her Ye Shuxin who was staring seriously back at her.
Yanyan looked between her mother and auntie, wondering what was wrong. Earlier, they looked done but this time, Jin Lisa's face turned cold.
Are they going to fight?
Jin Lisa was just glaring at Ye Shuxin without saying anything for a short while to which Ye Shuxin ignored.
Yanyan tugged on her skirt, "Auntie?"
"I'm going to talk to my brother."
Ye Shuxin shrugged, not really minding that at all. "Suit yourself."
She looked at Yanyan and smiled a bit, "Let's play later, okay?"
Without saying anything else to Ye Shuxin, Jin Lisa turned and left her there with Yanyan.
Yanyan pouted, crossing her arms and was giving her mother a scolding look, "Mommy should make friends with auntie."
Ye Shuxin raised a brow at what she said, "And why is that?"
"Because Yanyan said so!"
She snickered at the child, "Aren't you a know-it-all brat?"
"Princess."
"Huh?"
"Yanyan is a know-it-all princess!" She crossed her arms and puffed her chest out proudly.
Ye Shuxin ended up chuckling because of how adorable was. She patted her head, "Well then, know-it-all princess, what's so good on that auntie of yours?"
"Auntie is taller than mommy." Yanyan grinned.

"Chairman, I've found out that Ye Shuxin is Ye Fanfan's daughter, a prostitute living in the red district back then. She is now married with the head of the Lin family tho." Qiu Landi reported through call.
She was the daughter of a prostitute?
"How about her father?" Jin Mingze inquired curiously.
If her mother was a prostitute then there was a possibility that her father could be the same as Chen Rui... right?
"Well... The thing is, I couldn't find out who her father is. In fact, I couldn't get anything concerning Ye Shuxin's real parents."
"Real parents? What do you mean? Didn't you say that Ye Shuxin is the daughter of a prostitute?"
"Yes, after Ye Fanfan found her, she took her in. From the information I gained, Ye Shuxin was actually found by Ye Fanfan and her friend, abandoned on an alley side. During that time, Ye Fanfan had a... well... miscarriage... that's why she must have felt pity for the abandoned baby."
Jin Mingze was quiet for a while after ending the call. It was if he processing the information.
Did Ye Shuxin know about this?

"Jin Mingze, explain to me now! Who is that woman?!"
"Sire?" Qiu Landi's voice was heard from the other line.
"Give me the full report tomorrow." After that, he ended the call before he turned to his sister, "What?"
"That woman earlier, who is she?" Jin Lisa asked through gritted teeth.
"My wife."
She scoffed, "Your wife?! Have you forgotten about Chen Rui?!"
"No."
Jin Lisa was Chen Rui's best friend. They first met each other during college and since knowing each other, they considered each other as sisters.
If Ye Shuxin didn't tell her that she was actually not Chen Rui, she would have been easily deceived by that bitch.
"Then what is the meaning of this?!"
"I married her." He calmly replied as he stared blankly at his fuming sister.
She wanted to cry as rage filled her belly. she felt her ears getting hot. She glared at him then spat out, "I know that you missed her so much but that doesn't mean you have to marry a woman who looks like her! For all we know, that pretentious bitch is dangerous! What if she's a spy sent by one of your enemies?What if she kidnaps Yanyan and uses her against you? You can't just allow someone to enter this family! Look at what it brought Chen Rui! Because of that damn bastard, she die-"
"Enough." He cut her off. His gaze fell like an act of violence, his icy glare enough to stop her heart.
Jin Mingze has already doubted Ye Shuxin, thinking that she might be a spy but after what happened today, she brought out his daughter and returned her safely. She could have used that chance but she didn't so that was enough, enough for him to trust her even it was just a little bit.
