Chapter 66: Young Master Lu Sheng

Liwei staggered on his feet and walked clumsily to his seat before slumping down his body on the swivel chair.

His action was so clumsy that he almost toppled over from the chair. It was like he has dropped all of his grievance and burden onto that pitiful chair. His breath panted as his eyes darted over to the recently closed door on his left.

'Great, the devil already left. Please do not come again!'

His eyes wandered to the closed-door repeatedly as if he was afraid that the young master would pop out again without any warning.

After a few seconds passed without any signs of someone coming in through the door, Liwei drew a long deep breath, feeling relieved that the torture is over.

The young master aura back then was so dark and terrifying when he was asked about the questions regarding Young Miss Lucy's welfare.

Liwei has been the Lu family servant for less than 5 years, but due to his timidness and his strong sense of loyalty towards the Lu family, he was given the privilege to get close to the Lu family descendants and officially became the inner disciples of the Lu Clan.

Out of curiosity, Liwei has actually followed one of his seniors when he was assigned an assignment. As expected, when the seniors went into one small hut, they would vanish from it.

To date, Liwei have not had the chance to even set foot into that world yet. He only heard every now then from his seniors about the assignments that they have to do was on the other side of the world where the Lu Clan rule.

He is clueless and puzzled when he remembers his senior's words. To him, the Lu Clan where is right now in the inner courtyard of the Lu Clan's is sophisticated enough with a monitoring system that could easily outsmart most of the secret agent bases in the world. He thought that what he knew now was scary enough, but who knows the seniors only laughed at him when he said his thoughts to them.

He could not imagine how much stronger is the Lu Clan on the other side of the world.

"Ah forget it!" Liwei abruptly exclaimed loudly, scaring his friends in the control room.

He ignores the weird stare his friends gave him and ponders a bit more on the complicated issue of the Lu Clan.

It is a known fact to all the clan members who were serving the Lu family to obey all rules and instructions without questions asked.

Failing to do so, they are required to 'remove' themselves from being the servant and protector of the Lu family.

Liwei gulped hard at the thought of removing himself. The term removing in this context literally means to kill yourself or you will be exterminated forcefully by the other Lu family servants.

His sweat on his forehead trickled down his jaw. He rubbed his arm repeatedly as he could feel the goosebumps all over his body.

Yet, today he got the nerve to questions the old master and young master decisions!

There is a theory that has been spreading among the Lu clan members that whoever that was next in line to the throne will become Lu Sheng's puppet and his shield from the power struggles within the Lu Clan.

Until their young master is well enough to take over the role of their future grandmaster and replaced the old man Lu totally, the puppet to the thrown needs to shoulder the responsibility as a leader to stabilize the power struggle between the Lu Clan and other clans.

Remembering the powers held by Young Master Lu Sheng, Liwei quivered slightly. He slapped his mouth a few times.

"Pei, Pei, Pei! This mouth of mine has a mind of its own today... Ah, Junyang, my life is ruined! Am I going to die? My mother, who will take care of her after I am dead?"

Junyang frowned and did not show any interest at first when Liwei spoke to him. To him, since the young master walked out of the room without any further instructions, it means that Liwei was good now.

Not giving up, Liwei dragged his swivel chair over to Junyang table and shook his hand with a pitiful face. "Junyang, what am I going to do..."

Junyang laughed at Liwei's action and train of thoughts. He could guess correctly at what has been playing in his friends mine. He shooked his head repeatedly, and smile.

If the young master really intends to end his life after listening to Liwei's question, knowing the young master ruthlessness, Liwei could never have the chance to whine at Junyang right now.

Just with a glare from the young master to his shadow bodyguards, Liwei's life could be gone just with a blink of his young master, if he wanted to do so.

"Too bad your mouth did not behave today. I suggest you to do your job properly and avoid young master at all cost for this few days. Lest his rage got the better of him... We all can't help you if he is enraged." Junyang patted his friend's shoulder lightly.

Liwei was silent for a few minutes. Junyang thought that Liwei has gone insane from being terrified with the young master aura just now, so he ignores his friend and continued his work like nothing happened.

All of a sudden, all of the people in the room were startled by Liwei's cries.

"Hah, I know!"

"I will do my best to protect young miss Lucy from now on. My life and my mother's life is too precious to be wasted!"

Liwei quickly dragged his chair and clenched his fist tightly as if he just made up his mind. All he can think of right now is not to waste the second chance the young master has given him.

Junyang frowned and his lips curled upwards after hearing and seeing the sudden enthusiastic tone from Liwei. Small laughter could be heard from his other colleagues after seeing Liwei antics.
