Chapter 169: Heart of Power
Forced to put the needs of her squad first, Finral opened up a portal to the closest healing mage facility and allowed Charlotte's squad to leave. Sending one last hateful glare Grim's way, she picked up an injured magic knight and walked through the portal with the rest of her squad members in tow.
"You're letting her go just like that? That's not like you."
Giving Secre a sideways glance, Grim shrugged his shoulders and answered in a bored manner.
"I no longer have any interest in someone who can't make me use more than one magic attribute."
'Hopefully the Heart Kingdom has more to offer.'

"G-G-Grim!! N-No one told me you were coming!"
Seated outside a popular cafe in the capital, Grim tagged alongside Noelle to meet Mimosa and learn about how she gained entry to the Heart Kingdom.
"What's up Mimosa. Been a while." Flashing her a cheeky little smile, the poor girl nearly had a heart attack.
'He's a handsome as ever! No, he looks even better than before!!'
Quietly fangirling to herself, it took a while for the three of them to get to the heart of the matter.
"The Heart Kingdom?"
"Yeah, I need to know how to get there."
"You mean WE need to know how to get there right." Noelle corrected.
Ignoring her, Grim's eyes lay solely on Mimosa.

Feeling the intensity from his gaze, Mimosa's heart was practically somersaulting itself as her legs were squeezed together tightly.
Realising that something was wrong with her cousin, Noelle looked at her with eyes full of concern.
"Mimosa, are you feel-
"I CAN HELP!!" She suddenly yelled catching the two off guard and drawing the attention of the public.
Realizing what she had done, her face quickly turned beet red as she sat herself back down and buried her head in her hands.

"Ahem, sorry about that. I seem to be a little under the weather."
Finally calming down and regaining the confidence to face the two again, Mimosa got back to the topic at hand.
After explaining about how her brother and her were able to reach the Heart Kingdom through a contact that allowed them to study there abroad, she went into detail about what to expect if they managed to get there. But out of everything she said, only one thing seemed to get reaction out of Grim.
"The Queen of the Heart Kingdom... How strong is she?"
"This..." Biting her lip, Mimosa chose not to answer straight away.
"I didn't meet her personally but... I'd estimate that she's on par with the combined power of our kingdom's magic knights."
*Grins*
"So she's wizard king level."
Practically buzzing with anticipation, the mana in the area started to vibrate as if responding to his feelings.
"Grim..." Noelle said his name shakily.
'A fight.'
*Badum*
'A Good Fight.'
*Badum* *Badum*
'A BLOODY FIGHT!!'
*BADUM!!* *BADUM!!* *BADUM!!*
'I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I WANT TO FIGHT! I WANT TO FIGHT SO FUCKING BAD!!'
"GRIM!!" Noelle yelled snapping him out of it.
"Huh?" Regaining his clarity, he suddenly realized that the people around him were grasping their chests and breathing heavily. Deepending on their mana levels, some were even kneeling on the floor. Even Noelle and Mimosa who had royal levels of mana had their faces flushed red.
'Did I do that?'
'Oh. I get it. Its not just my control of mana that has increased as a result of tapping into my elven power. Even my sensitivity to mana seems to have grown.'
Understanding what had happened to him, Grim calmed his emotions and reined in the out of control mana.
So its my mana control, mana sensitivity and connection to nature's mana that has all been enhanced. If I can master this new state completely, my base power will be incomparable to what it was before! I might even surpass the power I had in my elf form.
But if I regain access to my elf form on top of that...
Just imagining what he could do with all that power... it almost made him salivate and cause another mana disturbance.
Leaving the two with a promise that she'd get in contact them once she had gotten in touch with the heart kingdom, Mimosa reluctantly left.
Seeing her leave, Noelle looked at Grim and said - "I guess we'll wait for now."
"Mmm." He nodded.
'I need to start training.'

[One week later]
"So I could have just broken into the country any time?"
Standing on a ship alongside Asta, Mimosa, Noelle and Finral, he suddenly realized that he could have just flown into the country.
"No way, that's illegal you know."
Batting Noelle a certain look, he wondered if there was something wrong with her brain?
Why would she ever think that something as weak as legality could stop him?
'Why does it feel like she's gotten dumber since getting that water armor of hers?'
"You wouldn't be able to even if you tried." Mimosa suddenly spoke up catching everyone's attention.
"Hmm?" He raised an eyebrow indicating for her to continue.
"See." She pointed ahead.
Fog?
"Woah." Asta gasped. "The fog is rolling in."
Mimosa contunued.
"In order for someone to pass through this fog, they need to possess a permit approved by the Heart Queen. Without it you shouldn't even think of getting in."
"What?! Seriously."
"Isn't that like totally amazing!!"
"To think the Heart Queen could do something like that."
While everyone was gushing over the Heart Queen's ability, Grim couldn't help himself as he said.
"Is that it?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Mimosa asked.
'Does he not understand just how impressive such a feat is?'
"You guys do know that I have access to Mist attribute type magic right?"
"Eh?"
'Does he?'
'I don't really remember him using it.'
To prove his point, he activate [Breath of Mist].
"See. If I can handle this, I can definitely handle a bit of fog. After all, Mist is more dangerous than fog. In fact *Grins* I could probably enter without even been noticed."
Moments later, Grim's figure disappeared as he raced towards the fog with mist surrounding his body.
