Chapter 317: Catching the blackmailer

Since her forced resignation, Madan Wang had lost interest in everything else and only left her bed when she needed to bathe or eat. She lay on her bed with her eyes on the ceiling as she wondered why she was yet to hear from the blackmailer for so long. Was it possible her threat the last time had scared him off? Or was he planning on doing something terrible to her? Why was she yet to hear from Mr Pei any way? She wondered.

Lately even her husband seemed to be having mood swings too, and anytime she asked him what the problem was, he always muttered something about being stressed up form work, but something told her it wasn't that. Or perhaps the blackmailer was now blackmailing him too and he was worried about it and didn't want to bother her? She reasoned as she sat up on her bed.
