Chapter 269: Nice to finally meet you

He noticed how sad she sounded and began to feel guilty. She wasn't exactly wrong. He would have spent the weekend with her had his mother's blackmail issue not come up. 

"I'm sorry. I'll do anything to make it up to you. Just... don't ignore my calls again like that. Do you know how worried I was?" He asked in a softer tone. "Please... do not ever do that again." 

"You'll do anything to make it up?" She asked with a tone he could interpret as, 'there's something you can do for me.'

"What is it?" He asked with amusement but frowned when he remembered something, "Wait! You mentioned being on a dating site?" 

He had logged in there to see whether she was online there but logged out when he noticed she wasn't online. 

Lijuan's eyes shone when she realised her slip. She had logged in there earlier to check the last time he went there and had been surprised when she noticed it was only an hour ago. That had made her even more angry.
