Time was running out and she was sure they would know soon that something had happened if she didn't return soon and didn't answer her calls.
Soon, another car began to approach. "God please! I need to get out of here." She prayed as she began to flag it down. The headlights were too bright for her eyes so she used a hand to cover her eyes as she used the other one to stop the car.
To her horror, it drove past her. "What the —" any sentence she was about to say stopped when she saw the car begin to slow down. She wasn't sure she had been as happy as she was at that moment especially when the car began to move backwards.
She smiled brightly and hurried to lock her car but the smile slowly faded when she noticed the car looked familiar. Awfully familiar.
