Chapter 26: Me the director? (chptr 26)
The next day I woke up earlier as I had two meetings to attend one was for my online advertisement and the other for Nick's merch , for both the meetings I had Nick by my side and it was weird but amazing. So I called Nick to reach my office till 12 and he agreed.
Later I reached my office and I was waiting for Nick and he entered the office, every one was stunned seeing him in the meeting.
"My dear colleagues I hereby announce Nick Rodrigues our official spokesperson". Everyone was happy as he is very popular amongst the young people and we congratulated and Nick had to do the paperwork and stuff . We were done and now we had to reach for Nick's team for another meeting .
When I entered everyone just stared at me I asked Nick's manager about it and he told me that Nick never brings his friends in his professional place so I was the first person to meet them.
"Guys this is Jenna , she is a businesswoman since three years amd counts in the youngest entrepreneur s"
" Hi everyone I'm Jenna kapur nice to meet you all".
Everyone greeted politely and we started with the discussion. I showed them my ppt and they really liked it.
"Jenna when did you made this".
"Don't worry I got your back".
Everyone presented their opinions and we were at our results and everything was decided.
"Sir what about the merch name?"
"Jenna what do you think about it?"
" I think as people love you for being you let's select your name -"Nick". As the merch name".
" Okay sounds great".
The other member asked,
" Sir what about the merch director? We need someone trusted for it".
" I want Jenna to be the merch director*.
" Wait ! What? Are you serious? "
" I'm damn serious".
" Can you guys excuse us for a moment please".
And I asked Nick to meet me outside.
" What's wrong Nick, this wasn't decided".
" I need someone trusted in this and also you always have amazing strategies we need you, I need you. And I will pay you well".
He kept on speaking and then I finally agreed.We went back in the room.
"I hereby announce Jenna Kapur as the director of our merch".
And everyone clapped and champagne was ordered we did a small celebration and now I was officially Nick's professional partner and so was he.
Later when we decided to have a lunch at my house and were driving back I started surfing my Instagram and saw Nick's post.He posted our picture we took in the garden where I was pretending grabbing his neck and punching him and we laughing weirdly.saying that,
"Introducing my best friend and our first merch director".
Everyone was going crazy in the comments section everyone was like shipping us and there were people who wrote negative opinions.I knew now my friends from India will kill me after seeing this.
"Nick did you really posted this picture, I'm in trouble now".
"Don't worry nothing will happen". And within a minute I see a call coming from my brother.
" Yes what's up Sunny?"
" Are you really Nick Rodrigues best friend , everyone over here is going crazy,when are you bringing him to India?"
" Don't tell mom anything about it , I'll call you later".
And I hung up I was happy as not everyone had my number but I was scared what will my mom react to it.
"Nick my brother said that my friends from India are going crazy".
"Is it? Good for you".
" Youu..!!! I will take the revenge for posting this picture".
" I won't mind Jenna". After that when I checked my phone I got so many requests from unknown people .I turned my account private. Every online gossip channels were posting our picture saying that I'm his girlfriend and he is hiding under the name of best friend.
"Nick see this,what nonsense?"
"I haven't linked to anyone for like two years now so they are just finding a chance to do so,you don't get bothered". And I started giving him looks.
I knew that now our chances of getting snapped our too much higher and we need to take extra precautions.
