This aspect was one of the many indications that this sect has indeed fallen far from its heyday. The pair of master and maidservant continued unimpeded. 

"Welcome, Fellow Daoist! How can this old man help you today?" A pale faced old man barred the way. His unhealthy countenance was quite obvious even to the naked eyes of Shen Xiaodie.

"I bring medicine to your ailment. It is i that is about to render you aid. But... for an equal price of course. There is no free lunch in this world after all." Clark replied with a shrug. 

Since he had need of this place, the decision of this old man really did not matter at all. He was here and so he shall conquer if the situation called for it.
