Chapter 7: Demon Spirits
Shen Yue and Ye Ziyun took Xiao Ning'er to her house. Afterwards they went to the City Lord's mansion. Upon arrival Shen Yue went to his house in Ziyun's courtyard to cultivate for the very first time. Shen Yue sits down on the floor and does a breathing exercise to get in the right mindset. He does this for 2 minutes.
Shen Yue: It's finally time to begin.
Shen Yue first pulls out the seed from his inventory and puts it in his soul realm. Then he pulls out the book from his mind. He then proceeds to open it, even though he has memorized it with his photographic memory. Shen Yue then turns it to the first chapter The Art of Cultivation-the peerless guide to cultivating in this world. He then begins reading aloud.
Shen Yue: Before one is to begin cultivating they must first enter into what is know as the voidless mental state. To enter this state please continue reading while thinking of nothing else but the profound words of this book. While you are reading please absorb the spiritual energy through the specific pathways as shown. As you are doing that please repeat these words,"As heaven and earth join as one. After 10 minutes of cultivating Shen Yue was a 1-star bronze rank spiritualist. He then decided to ask Maple for some items to get to 1-star silver. After getting the best pills to get to silver he then spent 30 minutes to get to 1-star silver rank spiritualist. Once he reached it he then asked Maple for god level growth rate demon spirits of 3 different attributes as well as the Nightmare Demon Pot. Maple gave him a bunch of every neutral, fire, and lightning demon spirit and the Nightmare Demon Pot. Shen Yue's goal was to make the strongest demon spirit for each attribute have every ability from the other demon spirits of the same attribute. He also wanted to see if he could make a stronger demon spirit growth rate that is above god level. When Shen Yue touched the Nightmare Demon Pot a quest was issued.
Maple: [Master has received a quest would you like to view it?]
Shen Yue: Yes Maple.

Nightmare Demon Pot
Quest Description:
Combine 10 god level growth rate demon spirits to create a never before seen growth rate.

Shen Yue: This will come in handy well lets begin then. Flaws.
Shen Yue then gets the flaws of the Nightmare Demon Book. Although there are none the book made for it gives some interesting information. It says,"This is the final version of the Nightmare Demon Pot every other one is a prototype. Its features are combining demon spirits will have a 30% chance to mutate. It is completely automatic you just have to choose which demon spirit you want to prioritize. There is a 40% chance of failure."Then Shen Yue began combining 10 neutral attributes not worrying about the results. He did this for an hour before he finally succeeded. He pulled it out and put a soul crystal to it. It activated and shone a gold light which when it died down revealed multiple completed soul clouds.
Maple: [Master quest completed. The golden page is in the Library of Heaven's Path.
Nightmare Demon Pot Completed
Quest Description:

Shen Yue: I'll make a perfect demon spirit later for now I'll go to the City Lord's mansion and request for an audience.
Shen Yue then goes to request an audience. He then waits for 10 minutes and is then escorted in. Once the servant leaves Shen Yue asks Maple to scan the surroundings to make sure no one was nearby or eavesdropping. He then activates an inscription from the store so absolutely no one can listen in on his conversation with Ye Zong. After his preparations are complete he walks into the City Lord's office.
Ye Zong: Hello Shen Yue what can I do for you.
Shen Yue: It is time for what I promised you in return for letting me stay in Ziyun's courtyard as well as waiting for her to start cultivating. Though before we begin this long talk I will have to put a slave seal in order to prove that you won't betray me. Do note that I will do absolutely nothing to you once I put the slave seal on this is just a precaution because what I am about to tell and give you is of great importance.
Ye Zong: As long as you can revive my wife I will gladly accept.
Shen Yue: Then let's begin I will inscribe the soul seal on your soul now.
Shen Yue then puts the ultimate soul seal on Ye Zong's soul afterward he gave Ye Zong the Spring of Life.
Shen Yue: Once you give this to your wife she will then be brought back from the dead. This liquid is called the Spring of Life. Now for the next part I will give you a list of every language so you can translate all the books that is in Glory City. I will give you a cultivation technique for every combination of soul attribute and soul form.
Ye Zong: Can you tell me what soul form is I already know what a soul attribute is?
Shen Yue: Sure I can tell you it is what shape your soul realm takes. Give me a blank soul crystal that you can use.
Ye Zong then hands Shen Yue a soul crystal.
Shen Yue: Use it on yourself and I'll see what it is.
Ye Zong then uses it to see what his soul form is.
Shen Yue: Hmm. It seems like you have a snow-wind attribute and a ice bear soul form. I will also give you the materials and instructions to make an array that is impossible to beat it is called the Supreme Ten Thousand Demonic Beast Array. It uses ten thousand demonic beasts of supreme cultivation. So you don't get confused legend rank is not the final rank in actuality it is only the beginning. The first rank after legend is heavenly-fate, then heavenly-star, heavenly-axis, followed by dao of dragon and martial ancestor, then we have what is known as the heavenly dao they are deity, emperor, and finally supreme. I know it is a lot to take in but that is the way the world works. I would also like to make 3 groups under your command they are: the Peerless Crafting Guild, the Perfect Alchemy Guild, and a mercenary guild called the Adventurers. I would like to use everybody that has talent for any of the guilds to join them I will then put a slave seal to find the traitors of Glory City. Finally the Sacred Family is a bunch of traitors who are allied with the dark guild.
Still a little shocked from all the information he is being told Ye Zong somehow replies.
Ye Zong: A... are you sure?
Shen Yue: Yes, they are also the people who poisoned your wife.
Ye Zong: Okay is that everything.
Shen Yue: Yes, I will return to my room goodnight Ye Zong.
Ye Zong: Goodnight Shen Yue.
Shen Yue then went to his room to go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Kamdon115 My longest chapter so far to make up for all the missed time. Now for your questions first one why did I start with the second life the answer is because Shen Yue has the complete Temporal Demon Spirit Book with all 8 missing pages but in the second life Nie Li has the seed in his soul realm so Shen Yue asked to be reborn in the second timeline to acquire it. The second part to the persons question Shen Yue has a system it is not required to get the things Nie Li obtains. It was only one person with unanswered questions :(. I will try to get out the next chapter soon. A few plot holes I fixed them.
