Chapter 12: Meet the family
Jonathan Kent had finished his chores and was on his way home, in his satchel was a bag that read grow. Placing his bike outside the barn he entered the house. Out in the distance an invisible plane landed on a field of grass and out stepped wonder woman carrying a wild boar at the same time batman glided out his jet.
Jonathan took a set inside the kitchen and started having a discussion about his time out at the market, Lois asked him "did you use your powers?" and to which he said "no mom, I was very careful and nobody followed me." Placing his shoes to the side he turned to her and said "I would have gotten all my chores done quicker if I had been able to…" Bruce now wore a suit above his batman uniform and Diana changed to black long squirt with an orange top that showed her shoulders.
Lois cut him off "it's not about getting it done quickly, Jon. Besides you know how your father worries." The doorbell rings and Jon runs out the kitchen to get it. "This isn't me Diana. I don't do this kind of thing. And you brought a Boar?" Bruce and Diana continued their conversation when Jon reached the door 'Dad said I should only use my powers to keep us safe. I'm sure he'd be okay if I took a little peek.'
Activating his x-ray vision; Jon jumped backed in shock at the sight of Bruce's batman costume looking down he say the skull of the boar beside Diana and jumped back in shock. At the same time superman was climbing out of secret hatch in the barn and put on a dress shirt along with blue jeans over his suit.

Stepping out of the barn Clark saw Jonathan's heat vision send Bruce flying, Diana raised her arm brace to block it but she too was sent skidding across the yard. "DAD, I swear it was an accident!" yelled Jon "I was trying to see through the door when…" Clark cut him off in worry "Jon, are you ok? Diana, Bruce, what are the two of you doing here? And is that a Boar on my stoop?"
Lois rushed out the house; pulling Jon in for a hug she said "it's all right, Clark. I invited them. Besides we've put this off far too long." Some more time had passed and the two of them were having a private discussion in the kitchen "Dinner? Seriously we don't even know them that well, Lois. Who are you going to invite next, Lex Luthor?"
Pulling out some fresh-baked pie Lois said "that's the whole point, Clark. If you're returning to action, I want to know the people who will have your back." Lois put the pie on a tray and handed it to Clark "besides we can't remain in isolation forever. So do it for Jon."
Walking out Clark put on his best smile "thanks for uh… coming, guys. I'll be honest, this is the last thing I expected." Bruce was now wearing one of Clark's plaid shirts "Diana made me come." He said while buttoning up the cuffs. "Your wife is right, Clark. This needed to happen." Said Diana from the table; Jon took a seat beside Bruce "I…I'm sorry I blasted you, Mr. Wayne. I hope my dad's shirt fits okay…"
"This is why I like to work alone. Has your father taught you anything …" Clark cut Bruce off "Don't let him intimidate you, Jon. Believe me, Bruce has worn worse things than plaid, and as much as he talks about working alone. Batman always has a robin, he once wore a rainbow-colored suit to draw attention from Dick." Bruce frowned at the comment "I have no recollection of this. And if you trained your son the way I've trained my robins…" Everyone at the table laughed at the story.
"A rainbow Suit, Bruce" Diana commented as the group continued to laugh. "This isn't a laughing matter Clark. Unchecked you and your son are the most dangerous beings on the plant. The superman I knew lost both is parents and as different as we were… we understood each other. We might have gotten off to a shaky start but our loss helped us understand each other… he was..."
"What about All-father? And his powers?" interrupted Jon. They all looked down at him "although his strength and gravity are impressive I …" Diana cut off Clark "his control over gravity is more than impressive, on my way to Africa I stumbled on a wormhole he opened off the west coast."
"Then there is his disassembly ability, you've never seen it Clark but that ability. I still can't figure out how it works." Add Bruce, "it's really unique, we dropped by his new house and he used it on himself and Cyborg. They separated into two-foot … mini me's" stated Diana.
Lois perked up "So how'd he reform?" everyone focused intently on her, Jon eyes sparkled. "He tried to … take a peak, so I forced him with my lasso." Clark laughed and Lois punched him, Bruce hid his smile. Jon eyes sparkled, his mouth gaped open.
Lois raised an eyebrow "when you become such a fan? You've only seen one of his fights?" Jon let out a light laugh, before letting out a light yawn "good night, love you." As he rushed up stairs Lois turned back and eyed him run away.
Everything died down and the table was soon at an awkward silence "I better go get dessert. Let's, go Jon." Stated Clark; "you should assist them, Bruce. I want to talk with Lois alone." Diana said as the two women looked towards each other.
When the men exited, Diana turned toward Lois and said "I want you to stop looking at me like that, Lois."
"Like what?" she asked
"Like a wounded animal, I've dealt with the loss of my superman. I am not here to rekindle old feelings."
"I know, I didn't mean to…" Diana cut off Lois saying "he's not the same man I once loved. Those feelings no longer ring true. And to be honest, my feelings are the only thing I can trust right now."
"What do you mean Diana?" Lois asked
"I'm lost, Lois, I cannot find my way home. I was forced to reach out to an old friend for help." Diana thought of her last fight with cheetah as she talked with Lois "though she is losing her memory of who she once was, and now greets me as an enemy." Taking another sip of her win she continued.
"She blames me for what happened to her and then blames the gods. I reminded her that is a Woman and not a beast… and more importantly my friend. I came here, Lois because you are a strong woman. And I believe you to be my friend. You have managed to start a new life in a world with your family, and if I were to never find my way back… I want to know how to start over. "
Upstairs Clark had put Jon to sleep Bruce ageist the wall and said "When they sleep they seem so innocent. You almost believe they would listen to what we say." He thought of all time he spent with Daemon and the rest of the bat family.
Outside on porch Lois said "you'll always have a home here, Diana and most importantly, a friend." some more time had passed Clark, Bruce and Diana were now outside on the farmland staring out at the stars.
"I don't regret returning to action, but I don't think it's the kind of life I want for my son." Said Clark "believe it or not, I actually am glad you both came. Maybe Lois was right about…" turning his head he heard 'Clark!, Come on Clark!' "You guys hear that?" leading the two of them to his barn he opened the door to see a younger version of him along with his old Pa out in a field of hay!.

A few years back, Dc had an event called Flashpoint. the event led into a rebooted of the dc universe while changing a lot of things about your favorite heroes. Most of their fans hated it, so they did a mini-event that killed off New-52 (that's the name of the reboot) Superman along with changing a lot of heroes... So, in short, they Rebooted their Reboot and introduced a slightly older and all-round better superman.
like no joke, the new Superman is better in every way. and obviously a lot happened in between that the new Superman has to deal with. I will be covering the important parts of it.
