Chapter 53: Celebrations (1)

[Later at night.]

"Where is she?" Blake spoke up as he briefly glanced in the old butler's direction who was standing next to him.

The old man was holding a small wooden box with its lid open. A couple of small, shiny cufflinks were nestled neatly into a maroon colored silk cloth. One look at them was enough to tell that they were no ordinary cufflinks, but rather held some importance to the man who was clad in black from top to bottom.

"Who exactly are you asking me about?" The old man was left confused by his vague question. He couldn't clearly tell whether his Young Master wanted to inquire about the Young Miss of the family, or the new guest.

"Lillian, of course." Blake answered to him without looking away from his reflection. He was more focused on fixing the top button of his black cotton shirt which hugged his broad shoulders and toned body perfectly.
