Xia bit her lower lip. She swallowed a lump on her throat, clenched her fist, and tried to keep her tears at bay. Seeing the pain in his hazel brown eyes hurt her too. Her heart feels like it was being sliced into half. She did not experience what he did but the pain is too much for her to bear after hearing the story.
