I walked forward toward the stone, Anyira followed, we placed our hands on the stone. The blue that was shining started to glow brighter, it soon hallowed us. Now surrounded by pure light, we began to see shapes of broken structures and statues.
I looked over at Anyira her face faded from happy to fear and worry. As the blinding light faded from around us I looked around to see that destruction had already came to the Heavens. I heard a thud, it was Anyira, she had collapsed to the ground crying.
"We're too late" she said sobbing. "They're all gone!" Anyira said with anger.
I could feel the heartbreak in her words. "If I hadn't been so foolish" she said taking a deep breath.
"It's all my fault!" More tears streamed down her face.
"No they aren't." I said suddenly.
Anyira looked up at me. "How do you know?" she said in a flat tone.
"Because we are sacred. We have been healed before." I said softly.
"By what! there is nothing that exists now that will be able to heal them, it was all washed away years ago." she said angrily.
"What was?" I asked.
"When the islands split it was a sign that the goddess of Shadow departed from all of the realms. She and her tribe were lost to time, and have been forgotten by the other tribes." she said standing back up.
"How do you know this information?" I asked her.
"My mother told me it before she died." she said as she wiped the tears our of her eyes.
"Let's go." I said snapping to draw my sword and started toward the ruined village.
Anyira followed catching up to me and soon passing me, she seemed frantic. As we neared a destroyed structure Anyira began to cry again.
"Zyan! Kaidence?" she repeated in a panicked tone.
Once we passed the structure, we seen them, the wounded people of the sky...
