Chapter 10: The Flight Part1
Summer's POV
When I woke up I noticed that the young weren't in the nest, I immediately looked to the entryway and found it still closed as I searched for them I and found the little rascals sneaking up on Nifiti so I decided to watch what they were planning. Ma'an is normally the calm and rational one but it seemed like he was the one who made the plan, they all nodded their head's in a yes motion and they all made the most annoying sounds I have ever heard and to top it all off I think they tried to make it as loud as possible too. i saw Nifiti having a mini heart attack and I felt bad for her, after we all calmed down all of the hatchlings were scolded for their behavior but I on the other hand was amused by what else they did, to Nahr they used some bright berry juice to make him pink, for Tumtir they used some old charcoal and dyed him black, for Dhahab they put honey on him and stuck feathers, how they got the honey and feathers along with doing all this I dont know.
I couldn't help but giggle at their antics, we all went to the lake and washed up and we took the young because we were going to fly South for the winter, we made the young stay in the middle and the adults stay on the outside as we all cleaned up and checked to see if we had enough supplies we got ready to fly off, after we made sure we had enough supplies we flew up sadly one dragonet couldn't quite get the hold of it so I grabbed them by the neck softly and flew up a bit and helped them get used to their wings, after a bit we headed South, as we flew over the city I saw many humans there was one human in particular had an aura that of a dragon I immediately told the others and that's when we knew there was a Dragon Rider, Dragon Riders have the ability to talk in the Dragon Tongue and with that being said they can also shift into dragons but only if they are strong enough, I spoke to them and they agreed that I would see if the Dragon Rider wanted to come with us while they go ahead, I would be able to catch up easily so I went down and spoke to the human. I flew down to said human and spoke ' hello Dragon Rider, before you ask questions you can understand me because your a Dragon Rider, if you want to know what a Dragon Rider is the come with us to South, if you dont then I will have to leave for my colony ' I did a quick explanation for him and he seemed surprised but It was my turn to be surprised by what he said "ok, it's not like anyone would miss me if you took me and killed me" my motherly instincts kicked in and i picked him up so gently that he seemed surprised by my actions.
As I placed him on my back I saw humans in awe at the sight of this, I expanded my wings and flew up in the air and made a quick pace towards where we were heading, he seemed in awe at the sight you could see above the clouds.
30 Minutes Later
I had successfully caught up to the rest of the colony and had just finished explaining but to my anger he asked me this "I'm sorry but I was to into the view to hear you, would you mind explaining again?" I sighed as he reminded me of myself, so I did "you are what we call Dragon Riders, you can speak and understand our Tongue and if strong enough you can transform into a dragon, you have an aura that of a dragon and sometimes you can have powers like dragons or have extra smarts, strength, speed, charisma, wisdom, or beauty, whatever your luck grant's you, if you have a power it will need to be honed otherwise you can cause massive destruction, and as a dragon rider you are the only species that no matter what the gender you can get impregnated, if you have any questions please ask me or any of the other adults as the young won't be able to answer any of em." I concluded my explanation not bothering to inform him of the history of Dragon Riders, he seemed very impressed by my information and I could smell that he was exited yet nervous, I was happy that we got the extra food and water because it seemed like we had an extra party.
Tumtirs' POV
As my mate flew closer to the rest of the colony I saw that he was a good looking male or should I say female? But he was born male with the ability to reproduce, I was confused beyond my years and hoped that my mate would help but seemed a bit preoccupied so I calmed myself down and left it at that, a male born with the ability to reproduce.

Alsayfs' POV
After a long flight and young resting on our backs when needed we spotted a small island and flew down to sleep, the human seemed less pleased about sleeping outside so I told him "I'll hunt a cow or boar for you to lay on and use my wing to keep you from the rain, does that sound good?" I asked him this because my motherly instincts were still going at it and I think I might become the mother figure he needs, he was startled but he nodded his head and I went out to find a cow or boar, he'll need a cow, maybe a doe or a buck, as I was flying I saw a herd of deer so I looked for the softest looking one and killed it without getting the blood on it and made sure to bring the corpse back and cooked it there and made sure that the human wouldn't get sick because of the meat and the others looked at me like I lost my mind, I just ignored them and continued, I layed it down rough side down and gave the human the deer corpse and watched as they ate till they were full and then the dragonet's ate the rest with room for more so the hunters went out to get food for us all, as I was laying down I saw as the human relaxed and opened up a bit, I soon started asking questions about him "what's your name?" he answered with "--------"
