MORE HATCHING!

Almost all of the eggs have hatched we are just waiting for Dhahab's nest to hatch and grow up so we can find a winter home, sadly dragons dont handle the cold well so after our eggs have been hatched and they are grown up a bit we leave for the winter, kinda like birds, anyway there are so many hatchlings that it would give me a headache to tell all of their names, but since the last human attack they have become less frequent but still enough for us to fear for our young, we finally decided to design a place for our young, basically the grown ups are in front of them and one female stays with the young, we take rounds that way there is someone to take care of them, a few males go out to hunt a few times a day, we protect the young with our life, kill a few humans, dont go on a killing spree, sounds normal for us. Today was Nifti's turn to watch the hatchlings and the rest of us decided that after Dhahab's nest had hatched that two female's would watch over the young at a time so that we aren't overwhelmed by them, We told Nifti the plan and she agreed very quickly, while we were talking and Dhahab was sleeping Dhahab all of a sudden woke with a start she looked confused for a moment and then she looked exited and she suddenly called out 'ITS TIME! ITS TIME!' We all rushed over, hatchlings and all. (Hey so I'm a bit lazy and we all know that this would take a lot of time to write down how they hatched, what they looked like, ect. ect. and I have to take care of three cats a baby ball python, a leopard gecko, and a frog, not to mention online school, and have to fit in time for sleep, IT IS WORK, but if you guys dont like me skipping this then in future chapters I won't but it will take a bit of time for the chapters to get out, sorry for disturbing you, enjoy) We watched as they all came out of their shells, the hatchlings fell asleep after the third egg had hatched, I helped Nifti carry them to the 'Nursery' as we'll call it, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of hatchlings that we now have, headaches here I come, the males had come back with a big amount of meat, we let the hatchlings eat first then the males, then us, we were last because we just take care of the young, we dont hunt, Dhahab's hatchlings will stay with her for about a week and then they can fly for about one hundred miles before needing rest, so they will stay with her for about three days before going to the rest of the young, after that week is gone we move to find a winter home after all its Autumn, the males believe that it's going to be a harsh winter so we are going early for the young. After we ate and were getting ready for bed I went and blocked the cave entrance, the hatchlings were starting to get drowsy they shut their eyes and fell asleep, I went to my nest and sleep, i just hoped that everything would go ok.
Nahr's POV
I watched as my mate fell asleep before I went to my young, SHE WOULDN'T LET ME SEE THEM SINCE THEY HATCHED, I mean I couldn't blame her, it's in her blood to be overly protective about her young and mate, but seriously I have to wait until after she is asleep before I can see my own kids, as I was admiring my young I heard something, I was confused before I immediately called out ' ATTACK ATTACK, GET TO YOUR STATIONS ' we trained for this, by stations my mate and one male would take the young and hide them in a secret cavern, the rest of us would protect them but make it discreetly, we made sure to teach the young that if this were to happen then they would stay silent, if one is worried the others are worried, if one is calm the others are calm, it was a perfect plan, I just hope that it will work.
Alsayf POV
I and Daw' Alnujum took the young to the hidden space, we were calm so they were calm, as I was waiting for their sign that the battle was over I calmed the young down, Daw' Alnujum looked relieved that i did such because he had no good parenting instincts. After what felt like days we got the call but it wasn't from Nahr, during the real thing Nahr would do the call, the young didn't understand why we weren't going up so I whispered as softly as I could ' Nahr is supposed to do the call, if he didn't do it then it isnt safe ' when they heard that they looked scared but I continued to calm them down, after a while they feel asleep and I could finally let it show, I WAS NOT CALM, the only reason why Nahr wouldn't do the call is because he's injured to badly, or they forgot to do it correctly but I made sure to mention that Nahr will do the call during the real thing so many times and If he cant do it that Nifti would do it and say ' The coast is clear, Nahr is badly injured, the password is Kalamah Alsiru ' but it was Sabj who did the call so we cant go out, as I was freaking out we all heard Nahr yell out ' DONT TOUCH THE YOUNG!' I grimaced as the hatchlings were woken up by him but happy that he was fine, after a while he did the call so we came out and what was awaiting for us was human bodies everywhere, the others weren't hurt but it looked like they used some new metal to make nets, muzzles, and much more awful things, it was then that I knew we had to leave much more sooner and it was going to be a rough flight, I told Nahr this and he nodded his head solemnly, we told the adults that we have to leave and in the next three days, they understood and made preparations for the flight, they made bags that lay on their backs and filled them with herbs that we cant get where we are going, next is non perishable foods, we won't be able to hunt that much but with the food that we'll bring and the meat that we hunt we should be good until we find a winter home, after that was done we told the young that they should save their energy for the flight and they sat down or layed and watched as we make preparations, I then thought that we might need water if we cant get to a stream or river so I packed some in home made jugs, after that it was starting to get light outside so we made a plan, two adults would go out and make a small mental map to get south except they won't go far just outside of the forest, while they were out the rest of the males would hunt for food, when both groups come back we would review the plan and get a stomach full of food, we all agreed that it was the best plan we have so Nahr and Nifti went to make the small map while the others get some food, nothing exiting happened just that finally Ma'an started to make sparks but dragon fire is much more stronger than normal fire so the sparks were a little colder than normal fire, I was so excited about this that I played a small game with him to make his breath stronger and hotter than it already was, after about 30 seconds of that the hunters came back and after the young finished eating Nahr and Nifti came back and the males ate, then we did, we decided that we would go tomorrow, the day passed uneventful and soon night came and this time I made it so that if a human wanted in they would have to get a bulldozer and even then it would take a long time so we all slept in peace but I hoped that our flight would be just as calm.
