Chapter 35: On The Eve Of The Invasion

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hello dear viewers, long time no see. I have been absent for more than 2 years due to personal issues during covid and starting college/university. I am thankful to all of you for your support of this project. I would like to announce that I just got back to posting fan-fics and it is about anime/manga - Blue Lock. Peter got to New-York in about an hour. Harry called his driver to pick Peter up from the airport and get him to his office.
On the way, Peter was reminding himself of the actions that happened in the Avengers movie.
"Ok... the invasion started because of Loki opening the portal on the top of Stark's tower which is located in the city center. Avengers were able to defend the city and most of the citizens, so if actions happen the way they did in the film, only the minor part of New-York will be affected. That's good, it means that Gwen's parents will be safe. Their house is quite far from the center. I just need to get all of my equipment ready and help Avengers to deal with Loki, as he will be the one protecting the equipment that's going to keep the portal open... but about the rocket?... The heads of S.H.I.E.L.D decided to launch a rocket into the city center to kill all of the aliens including citizens. If this happens I won't be able to stop it, I am not that powerful yet. The only thing I can do is to warn Tony so that he can redirect it right into Chitauri's spaceship, just like he did in the MCU"
(30 minutes later)
Peter got to his office and started preparing for the invasion. It was 6:30 p.m. already. He wore his suit and started checking his gadgets...
"Ok, so I have the regular web, electric-web, diamond-web (strong web), 3 electric-bombs, 1 gas-bomb, and Otto's harness. I should use the bombs wisely and only in critical situations. Regarding the gas-bomb, it's very powerful and can kill several people... maybe it will be strong enough for Loki to lose his consciousness." Peter started thinking.
He took all of his equipment, including the harness. Luckily for him, it was able to transform in a kind of metal backpack. It was very heavy for an average person, but not for him, as Peter could barely notice the weight difference between it and regular backpack. He decided to use the harness, as he knew that it might be very helpful in a battle like this. The tentacles are made of bullet-proof titanium, which is a metal that was used by Iron Man in the creation of his suits. It was strong enough to protect Spider-Man from Chirauri's lasers. Peter was also considering using it to fight with Loki if circumstances will be different and he would need to deal with the main villain himself. He knew that he had low chances against Loki in a 1 versus 1 fight, so he started listing Loki's abilities to remember what to be beware of.
"Loki... he is literally a God. He has superhuman strength, fast regeneration, superhuman agility and reflexes, telekinesis, and much more. Defeating him will be a huge challenge for me, I will only be able to hold him up for a little while when other heroes will be coming. But he will surely try to trick and lure me to his side, assuming that I will agree. That might be my only chance to attack him unexpectedly" Peter continued.
After getting all of his gadgets, Peter texted Harry and Gwen in the group chat, which they created when they arrived in Washington.
"Hi, I hope you had a good day! I just wanted to say that it was a false alarm, I came back from the police station and they said that they received notification as well, but when they came to the place no one was there. They said that they received multiple notifications of this kind today and that it's because of people not updating the software fo their security system. I'll do it right now and will probably come back at night"
When Peter when out from his new office he received a notification of the breaking news. He opened the link and played the broadcast.
"BREAKING NEWS! A large laser beam is seen in the city center on the top of the Stark Tower, it was launched just a few minutes ago and seems to open a kind of gap in the sky. Apparently, Tony Stark is giving us a new show, it's most probably going to be a presentation of his new suits which he said he started developing several months ago. As you can see, lots of people started gathering in the city center to witness this moment..."
"Battle of New-York begins..." Peter whispered in panic.
