Chapter 18: New Plan

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hello dear viewers, long time no see. I have been absent for more than 2 years due to personal issues during covid and starting college/university. I am thankful to all of you for your support of this project. I would like to announce that I just got back to posting fan-fics and it is about anime/manga - Blue Lock. Peter got back home and was recovering from the injury, he felt really bad and had a headache. He fell asleep at about 8 a.m. and woke up at almost midnight on the same day.
He took his phone and started scrolling through the news, he was very surprised at one headline...
"Oscorp's new leader announcement on the recent accident"
Peter started reading this article, he was hoping that Harry did not say anything unnecessary.
"A press-conference took place yesterday at Oscorp, where Harry Osborn answered questions of the journalists. He said that Oscorp will learn about the mistakes they made and that such a case will not happen again. When he got asked about the serial murder that happened at Otto's house, he said that the company is ready to cooperate with the police and provide any necessary information. He also got asked about why the experiment failed. Harry responded that the head of the project - Dc. Octavius made fatal mistakes in the estimates and tried to get ahead of the company plan by finishing the invention earlier. We also asked if he believes that Mr. Octavius was the one who murdered those three workers. The company leader refrained from a direct response but said that police and the company will take every version into account. No matter how this investigation ends, we can definitely say that Otto Octavius's career as a scientist is over."
"Well, that was not as bad as I expected. It seems like they prepared him well" Peter said.
(On the other side of a city)
Meanwhile, Dr. Octavius was repairing the harness and tentacles in his laboratory.
"Spider-Man, he is not as weak as I thought. He was prepared and had electric-bombs ready, I got lucky to escape. If he had not damaged himself with his grenade I might have been caught already. I need to be more cautious and careful next time. He disabled two of my tentacles and the other two were barely functioning. He knows the weak sides of my invention, I need to do some upgrades." Otto thought.
He started making his invention durable to high levels of electricity by wrapping all of the internal components in a thick layer of rubber as it does not conduct electricity at all. He also added a backup battery and made his tentacles more durable to physical damage. Moreover, his tentacles were now able to have a maximum length of almost 9 meters.
During that day he went to the nearest shop to buy some food, he wanted to do it as fast as he could. When he was about to pay for the products he noticed a newspaper with his and Harry's face, the title said "Oscorp's new leader accuses Dc. Octavius for the failure of the project". He bought the newspaper, got to his laboratory and started reading it.
He got furious on Oscorp and Harry in particular. Although Otto has always been calm and kind, the aggressive character traits starter showing themselves more and more after the radiation. His personality was getting worse every day.
"I dedicated almost 10 years of my life to this project. I was working for them 24/7 almost every day, I have not had a single holiday for 4 years. They put an impossible deadline and expected me to finish a 12-year project in 8 years, and know they say that I AM GUILTY OF EVERYTHING!" he shouted angrily.
"They put me in impossible conditions and now made me the culprit of THEIR FAILURE. And this kid, who the fuck is he to judge me? I need to revenge Oscorp! THEY RUINED MY LIFE AND I WILL DO THE SAME TO THEIR LEADERS!"
(Meanwhile in Queens)
Peter was thinking of the ways he can defeat Mr. Octopus, he understood that Otto would upgrade his invention and most probably make it durable to electricity. Peter needed a plan B, something his enemy would not expect.
He decided to create a deadly gas-bomb, one breathe of which would kill a person immediately. He also started working on a special version of his mask, so that it would have a respirator. Peter was planning to make two gas-bombs and finishing his mask in 4 days.
(Next week)
Peter was ready, he was planning of getting to Doc Oc's laboratory and throwing his grenades inside to catch the villain when he would sleep.
Spider-Man got all of his gadgets and was on his way to the villain's lair. It was at about 3 a.m.
"Doc Oc, your time has come" Peter thought.

Hi dear readers! I hope you are doing well and enjoy reading the fan-fic. Today, I just want to share some of my thoughts with you. I am very grateful that the overwhelming majority of you like the fan-fic, I understand that the first chapters were frustrating to read but I am trying my best to improve the story. Thanks to all of you for interesting suggestions, I noted some of them. I want to say that Spider-Man will not get all of his powers fast (like getting a vibranium suit, learning magic, and getting Venom at the same time). He will become stronger gradually and I hope you understand why. I do not want my mc to be OP straight away and destroy each enemy in a matter of seconds like One Punch Man. He will get stronger and will be on his path to becoming the most powerful hero in the Multiverse.
Another point I wanted to make is fan-fic's progress in a very short time. This is my first novel and if you asked me how many views I would have after the first 2 weeks of writing I would not say anything more than 20K. But as Thanos said, the reality is often disappointing, and sometimes in a good way. I am very grateful to all of you for the support, you motivate me to write every day! I am very happy that we are creating a community of Spider-Man fans, this is something I always wanted to do and it seems like it is becoming a reality.
Important note: I want to work on the level of my fan-fic and make some of its aspects better. That is why, I will leave two comments under this chapter, one for the strong parts of the fan-fic (just list 3 to 5 things you like the most about the fan-fic) and the other one for the weaknesses (also list 3 to 5 flaws and things you do not like about the fan-fic). I will analyze your opinions and work on these aspects more.
