"Did you hear?" Alya asked as she walked up to Marinette.
"Hear what?" Marinette seemed to be oblivious to the latest news.
"Adrien wouldn't be able to be in school today" she looked at Marinette, waiting for her outburst.
"Whaa?.. why?.. oh no" Marinette finally replied, hanging her head low in despair.
"Don't sweat it girl, he's only gone for a day" Alya nudged her on the ribs.
"Is he alright?" Marinette couldn't help but worry.
"He's in England as we speak, for some photoshoot" Alya replied using air quotes.
"And you know, how?" Marinette wondered why she hadn't heard.
"Nino, duh!" She brought out her phone, flashing the text to Marinette, "see, it plainly said-"
"He's in England for a photoshoot" Marinette sighed, "let's get to class, we wouldn't want to be late".

"Alright class, I would be grouping you all in pairs for a project, this project is to be finished by the end of tomorrow as the best will be chosen to be presented to Mr Agreste" Miss Bustier said in a loud voice.
"Miss Bustier?" Alix raised her hands, "Who's going to wear our creation?, What's it based on?".
"I thought you'd ask that" Miss Bustier nodded, "well as we all know, Mr Agreste's brand are worn by his son Adrien, he organized this project to test your creativity, so get creative!!" She said enthusiastically.
Miss Bustier brought out a note pad, flipping a few pages, she read: "Alix you're paired up with Sabrina-".
"You've got to be kidding me!, Why doesn't she get Chloe, they are sort of friends after all" Alix facepalmed.
"It'll be a wonderful time with you Alix" Sabrina said ignoring her partner's frustration.
"Kim you're paired up with Max-"
"Yes!" They said in unison, fistbumping.
"Rose you're paired up with Juleka-"
"Yay!" They hugged.
"Nathaniel you're paired up with Marc" they shyly smiled at one another.
"Kagami you're paired up with Chloe-"
"That's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous" Chloe said in her high-pitched voice, she looked over Kagami who had a stoic expression not saying a word, "Ugh!, I'm so calling my designer" Chloe muttered.
"Ivan you're paired up with Mylène-"
Mylène was the first to initiate the hug as she hugged Ivan's huge figure.
"Alya you're paired up with Nino-"
Alya couldn't help but blush, Nino on the other hand had his hand at his head as he smiled nervously, it's not everyday you get paired with your boyfriend.
"Marinette-" Miss Bustier paused, "this can't be right?, I seemed to have omitted your partner's slot" she looked at those who weren't paired.
"Ha!, She's destined to be alone, poor Dupain-Cheng" Chloe mocked.
"Marinette, this is your choice; the are only two people who are unpaired besides you which are Luka and Lila" Marinette seemed to be in the spotlight.
"What will your choice be?" Miss Bustier asked, the classroom seemed awfully quiet as everyone waited for her response.
"I choose.." Marinette didn't like Lila but she seemed to fool everyone except her with her lies, Luka on the other hand was the best bet right now, "Luka" she finally replied.
"Alright, Lila you would have to carry out this project on your own since we are short of one student- Adrien, I hope you would be able to cope?" Miss Bustier asked.
"This isn't the first time I had to take up a project like this, the last one I did in Africa during my travels, I singlehandedly compiled a report on the marvelous structure of the Flame Lily" Lila lied with ease as she marveled her mates and teacher with her made-up adventure.
A little slip-up didn't go without notice from Marinette as she spotted Lila's phone behind her light up before dimming and going into sleep mode, She searched it out! Why that cunning little-
"Well then, Let's be creative everyone, I know you would all marvel Mr Agreste" she finally dismissed everyone.
The sound of explosion could be heard outside Collége Fançoise Dupont as students hurriedly went to the window to get a glimpse of the commotion.
"All students, stay away from the windows, there's an akumatized villan on the loose, take shelter in the hall" Mr Damocles voice could be heard through the speakers.
Marinette slowly slipped out of the crowd during the announcement towards the bathroom. "Tikki, this would be a very good time to transform".
"Tikki spots on!" Marinette called as a magical light surrounded her, transforming her into the Superheroine, Ladybug.

"Ladybug!, I know you're out there" Sugar-Plum said in a singsong voice.
Ladybug watched the scene as she tried dialing Catnoir's comms line, No answer.
"What's wrong?" Ladybug was getting worried.
Or was it because of what happened last night?, No!, It was with Marinette, he wouldn't use that as an excuse to leave me out here alone as Ladybug!!
"Think, think" she jolted herself back to reality, "all you need to do is capture the akuma, it shouldn't be too hard" she began assessing the akumatized villain as she caused more damage to the city.
A familiar figure landed softly besides her, "Rena Rouge, glad you're here" she whispered.
"Where's Catnoir?" Rena Rouge asked.
"That's what I'm trying to find out" Ladybug tried his comms again, nothing!, "Let's try to focus on the villain, we'll find out what happened to him later, just hope he's safe"
"So what are we up against?" Rena Rouge whispered back.
"The akumatized villain is able to turn anything she zaps into confectioneries, her candy staff of who knows what-" Ladybug paused momentarily, "the akuma has to be in the staff!" She said a little too loudly drawing attention of the villain.
"Gotcha!" She turned in the direction of the sound, aiming at them.
"Oh no!, Watch out!" Rena Rouge called as she...
