Chapter 12: The Wedding
when lyra woke up she was in her bed she thought claud brought her so she went to freshen up.
steve had a small business to take care of so he left early. everyone went to the venu and stared to dress up for the wedding.
steve has already reached the venue all dressed up ,he was 6'2 ,wearing a black suit with flowers in his pocket and his hair neatly combed and styled he was looking like a model.
the smith's didn't have a grand wedding ,but called some of their family and important friend's so there was no much crowd or disturbance.
finally when the wedding started steve was waiting for lyra , when lyra came in with her grandfather
everyone's eye's were on lyra she was wearing a long white frock which had a cloak type design which looked royal with all the diamonds in her frock shining like stars in the sky, she was wearing a crown with a wail ,she was absolutely looking like a princess.
not only the guest's but steve also was shocked yesterday he didn't notice lyra's face clearly but she was really beautiful , apart from her skinny figure she was really beautiful.
when lyra lifted her head up she saw steve standing up on the stage ,she felt like he was looking good.
steve extended his hand for lyra and she gave her hand then he helped her to get on the stage.
they exchanged their rings and vows after that steve lightly kissed her on her cheek.
the wedding was finally over, when stephen suddenly received a call , he went to his grandfather and explained about the call and left with peter right away.
when harvey saw this she asked stephen what was wrong." there is something wrong in the company abroad it was urgent so he went first i will be going tomorrow so let harry take care here "stephen said.
"but father aren't we doing wrong with lyra? she just got married today and steve went abroad what if lyra and her family misunderstand steve? actually i feel bad for lyra" harvey was upset, steve could't even stay with his wife after his wedding ,what was meaning of the wedding then?.
"it's okay harvey i will talk with lyra and her family don't worry"stephen said to harvey.
after explaining to the wood's family, stephen went to lyra.
" lyra are you okay?"stephen asked worried.
"yes i am okay, what happend" lyra wrote in her tab.
" lyra i am sorry , steve really had something important so he had to leave as soon as the wedding is done , don't worry he will be free for next six months and he will spend time with you to make up for what he did today okay?"stephen said apologetically.
"it's okay grandpa i am not upset "lyra wrote and looked at stephen .
stephen now felt more sad lyra was so good she didn't complain on anything,may be what simon said makes sense lyra is not the type of girl who demand's or complain.
stephen turned towards lyra and said " so shall i take you to paradise villa?or you want to come with us to smith's residence?".
"i will go to paradise villa , i am married now so i can't trouble you"lyra wrote and showed to stephen.
"it's no trouble lyra you are my family now it's your house now you can come any time ,okay it's getting late i will take you to paradise villa"stephen said.
after showing steve's room to lyra and asking the maid to take care of lyra ,stephen left the paradise villa.
