Chapter 6: : I Personally Want to Use Them
8am
Amy is used to waking up at 11am so until now she is still sleeping. Her phone had already rung twice but she just turns it off and goes back to sleep
But, she never set alarms?
So on the third ring she looked at her phone and saw it was Gabby who is calling her so she answered the call
"Amy! Where are you? You're starting your work today, have you forgotten?" Gabby asked her with a concerned tone, guessing she must've had a hard time last night after what happened online yesterday
"I'm sorry, I overslept. I'm going there now" Amy said hurriedly and jumped off her bed to get ready quickly and ran to the studio

"I'm... sorry... I'm late" Amy said while she is catching her breath. The studio was far from her apartment and she has no time to take a taxi, luckily she easily remembered what path she should take
"It's fine. Come there is something I need to discuss with you" Gabby said and led her to the editing room "The magazine is scheduled to be released tomorrow, but I have to get your opinion because of the issues online about you, not to mention there were 2" Gabby added and opened his laptop to copy the pictures from the camera's SD card into the laptop
Amy looked confused "What issue?"
"You have not seen the posts online?" Gabby asked surprised
"I just moved into an empty apartment, I don't have any source of online connection, so no I have no idea what is happening online" Amy admitted. So Gabby showed her his phone about Mia's post "This is one of them. She is the model that is supposed to be on Snap!'s magazine"
"How shameless! She is just a vlogger how could she have been qualified to replace Mia for the cover?"
"How pathetic, stealing jobs from others because she desperately need it"
"She deserves to be kicked out, even out of the country!"
Amy read almost all of the comments and it mostly contained negative ones. There are only a few that still supported her, she guessed it must be her loyal followers
"Maybe there is a decent reason. Everyone should not judge her immediately"
"Why is she not acceptable to be the replacement? Her beauty is out of this world!"
Amy just now realized who is the Mia that caused the trouble. Of course she knows Mia George. She once admired her because of her fashion and she is aware Mia was one of her followers. Mia on the other hand, also admired Amy's fashion that is why she follows Amy's accounts and sometimes mentioned her name that she was her inspiration on her outfits when she was in interviews
So with Mia's influence and mention of Amy's name one time, Mia's fans checked out Amy's account and also liked her, so most of Amy's fans are also Mia's.
Amy was aware of this so her followers decreased rapidly from a million to only a few hundreds
As Amy read further, there are a lot more negative comments, even talking about how she had always been a liar because she was adopted
A liar? She could never lie! Growing up she was conditioned to be like that
And who says she is adopted?
"Adopted?" Amy was confused looking at Gabby, she is guessing it must be related to the other issue. She gave back Gabby's phone to ask for the other issue and he was hesitant to show it to her but he has no right to hide it. Besides she will know about it soon, it's better to show her now
This time it was a recorded video from her sister and mother's press conference
With the addition of this information from her family, the few hundreds of followers that were still following her felt betrayed by their so-called "honest" vlogger. And so the count once again decreased from a few hundreds to less than 20!
After watching the video she was tempted to throw the phone, good thing she gave it back immediately before throwing a hard punch on the air and releasing a silent cry out of anger
A few second she recovered and faced Gabby
"I just want you to know that what my family said was the real lie. I am indeed conditioned to not lie so I always tell the truth but I always make sure it is true or not before telling it. Unless I witnessed it with my own eyes, it is the truth to me and I will never expose something I have never seen" Amy explained sincerely
"I believe you. You do look honest and your family has a vibe of a person wanting to cause trouble to others" Gabby comforted her
"I want to know if you are still going to use my pictures for your front cover, I know I did not deserve the job because I am inexperienced compared to a top model like Mia. I understand if you don't but please, don't take my job away as your assistant" Amy explained her thoughts honestly like what she truly was and pleaded to still accept her to work with them
Gabby had thought for a moment and also replied honestly "I had also discussed about this with my staff earlier and they said to get another replacement. They are worried because of your reputation in the public, it will affect Snap!'s first magazine"
"I understand..." Amy lowered her head but was cut off by Gabby
"But... Seeing your pictures here in my laptop now, I personally want to use them for the cover" Gabby said sincerely "And don't worry you are still my assistant" he added
"Then I agree with you to use my pictures. I believe you are the best photographer in the country and I would not doubt your decision. You also know it is the studio's first magazine and will be greatly affected by my reputation but I think you knew it won't disappoint the citizens" Amy was aware of her beauty as well, of course adding her new hairstyle, her appearance was now unique. The Snap! studio does always make amazing pictures and Gabriel Lores is their best photographer as well as its owner. The only problem is Amy's reputation to the public. She was worried she'd be blamed by the studio so Amy thought of something
"Sir Gabriel, I have an idea since I am still worried for the magazine's sales" Amy started
Gabby smiled "Please call me Gabby no one calls me 'sir' here it sounds weird" Gabby laughed
Amy also smiled "Yes, Gabby, I just thought that if you decided to use my photos, we should edit how it would look like on the cover and let the other staffs to vote if they will agree to it. If not, I will be willing to contact and apologize to Mia or any other model you would like that will suit on the cover as well" Amy suggested
Gabby was thinking about it, if majority of the votes was a 'no' then he will suggest to make her pictures part of the content, he doesn't want to waste such great pictures. But he didn't tell Amy about this
"I agree" Gabby excitedly said and started editing making sure everyone will agree with him this time
