Chapter 97: NARUTO POV
Today is the day I start progressing towards the position of hokage. I will make sure to get that damned seat from jiji.
Right now I am getting ready to take genin exam along with the extra-curriculum exams of fuinjutsu, kenjutsu and trap making.
When I was on the way to the academy I started thinking how much everything's changed since Saito came to our village.
It all started when he became my friend and helped me socializing with others, through him I became friends with Saya, shinobu, shikamaru, shino, hinata, kiba and even sakura and Ino.
He helped us in training to be a ninja as well as introduced to the extra classes and I am damn great at fuinjutsu. I am also quite talented in trap making and kenjutsu but my fuinjutsu along with saito's help has gone farther than any double or even triple my age.
He also introduced me to my heritage as the heir to Uzumaki clan and this shows how I am so great in fuinjutsu but nowhere near saito. He even gave me a few kenjutsu manuals and helped me a lot in chakra controlling techniques.
He also taught me a few wind and lightning style jutsus as well. But the biggest help he gave me would result in me passing the exams today. I was easily able to do henge and kawarimi no jutsu but I just couldn't do the bun shin no jutsu so he taught me Kage Bunshin no jutsu along with it's variant tajuu kage bun shin no jutsu.
That jutsu is a life saver and helps me in creating alibi when required. I put the jutsu to good use by pranking all those who didn't treat me well or overcharged me when I go to buy things or give me rotten food to eat.
Again saito gave me the idea to bring jiji with me to do shopping and after that day no one again dared to overcharge me or give me rotten products.
He even helped me in becoming more than friends with sakura and we have gone to quite some dates till the date as well. I at least go to shikamaru's house once a week to play shogi with him and then eat dinner with them. I also went to choji's, shino's, ino's, kiba's and even sakura's home as well. though saito is outside the village most of the time due to him being a jonin and an anbu at that, it was not that difficult to figure it out.
"Okay students, first we will take genjutsu test then taijutsu followed by ninjutsu and any other extra classes exams. Now I will be calling your names then enter the room.
...."
Oh, looks like the exam's already started.
"Naruto..." "hai" and I went to the room there I saw a sickly looking man who said," I am daku and I will be your proctor for genjutsu exam. you are to break free of my genjutsu in 30 seconds."
hehe~ he doesn't know that I am immune to most of the lower genjutsu due to my furry problem which I found by myself and later I asked jiji who confirmed it for me.
"huh.. I am sure I used it properly, again..."
"yo, you pass this exam with full marks, now you may go take taijutsu test in the next class." and I took it as my pass to leave this exam hall. I tried my best not to have a foxy grin on my face after seeing the proctor fail in putting me under a genjutsu but I failed miserably in that.
Once I reached the taijutsu hall I was greeted by another unnamed chunin who I had to fight for 5 minutes at the very least to pass. I defeated him in 2 minutes. nothing new in that as I have been trained in taijutsu by the Green beast of konoha, the one in whome the fire of youth burns brightly, might guy.
Though he is quite sadistic in training others while a masochist in his own training.
After the taijutsu I went for the ninjutsu hall where mizuki was the proctor of the exam. he said," come naruto, you are to show the three basic academy ninjutsu in order to pass this exam and if you fail then you will have to remain in the academy for one more year before taking exams.
