Chapter 95: Third Chunin Exam Part-4
After Saya and shinobu brought their flags from their hunt we went for rest and thought to go for the hunt tomorrow. As by the end of the day many of the teams would be either dead or disqualified.
The next day I predicted would be the day she most of the teams would already have collected more than 2 flags.
Time skip: Next Day
Today is the day I would make sure that we will win so after having breakfast I went outside the hideout alongside hinata, once we went outside the hideout I used my sensing ability and found that taki team is near here. they are just about a mile far from us.
I teleported both of us inside their hideout. All three members of the team were having their breakfast and were definitely not expecting anyone.
The one looking like the leader of the team came out of his stupor and said," We are under attack, prepare formation 15." then he threw few kunais with the attached explosive tags.
I used wind release: gale palm to deflect them and the tags exploded creating huge amount of smoke. I heard someone use Water release: water bullets as hinata and I dodged all those that came though they were far too weak to even dodge but whatever.
Soon a torrent of lightning came from the other side of the smoke and I used Boil release: Great Boil Tornado as huge amount of boiling water came out of my mouth and formed into a huge tornado which disiptated the smoke and incapacitated the taki team of genins.
Then we looked around the hideout and found that they had 2 red flags and one green flag having the number 3 on it. once I collected the flags, I looked at hinata and said," We don't need to hunt for more flags from now on. tomorrow we will be named chunins and would soon be jonins." she nodded as we both teleported back to our hideout.
Saya came out of the room and saw us with no flags with us. She soon had a huge smirk and said," hn, you didn't even get 1 flag and you told me that you would get more flags that we did in even less time that we took."
I pulled the flags out of inventory with a foxy grin and laughed at her expression as she was shell shocked that we won our little challenge that she created last night.
"hehe~ looks like we brought all the red flags left alongside one green in half the time you lot took. now let's put these is their position and wait for the exam to end as we are now assured to win the tournament and become chunins." then we went to the place where the flags were already situated once we put all those red flags the flags started shining and then we put the green flag as the hole started shining as well.
"let's go back and play shogi, this time I am going to win, ttebayo~" Saya said with cute expression as we went to the hall to play games.
The next day the exam ended as chunins of suna village came to get the genins participating in the exams from their hideout. Once we left with the chunins they took the flags with them. once we got to the place of starting the proctor came and announced our team the winner of the whole exam and told us that once we reach our village our kage would promote us to chunin level.
Then our sensei, kageyama came and said," Nice job, kids. I knew that you all would become chunins but I never knew that you wouldn't even let other teams have a chance. Let's go hokage-sama would be waiting for us."
then before leaving the village I found playing with his sister and he had a smile on his face," Oi, gaara, Temari."
"ah, Saito-kun, How's the exam going?" gaara asked.
" the chunin exams are completed and we won the whole thing. now I am about to leave this village alongside the other konoha team. so I though to come say good bye to you. We will soon meet each other." he then nodded with a sad look.
I then said," if there is any mission related to this village or any nearby place I would surely come to meet you and our village would be hosting chunin exam in a few years and you can then come to our village as well."
Soon after giving my goodbye to gaara and temari. we left the village to get back to our own village.
once we reached the village gate we saw kotetsu was still fast asleep alongside Izumo. Once sensei woke them up they congratulated us and then we went to the hokage tower.
Once we reached the hokage tower anyone we met congratulated us, looks like the news of our winning the exam did travel fast.
When hokage-sama gave us his audience we greeted him and he said," congratulations Team 0, I knew that you would accomplish great things. You got quite the great remarks from the proctors of the exams.
Now Saito terumi, Saya joūshiro, Hinata hyuuga, Shinobu kocho. Take these Flak jackets. You all are promoted to Chunin level. I expect great things from you all.
And remember to never let off the will of Fire burning in your heart as I will show you the way to the future. You all are dismissed."
then we left the hokage tower as sensei told us he would hive us party at Yakiniku Q. Let's say he went to the shop with pockets full of money and cane out without a penny.
