Chapter 23: Prior (Xian)

While Xian had been impatiently waiting for time to pass, the clock finally reached 2:15, even if they left right now they would be way too early, however the boy had already been waiting for too long. Xian was already changed into his suit, so he quickly went to find his father so they could leave. While maintaining a calm face, the boy power walked down the hall to Weiyuan's room. After knocking, without waiting for an answer the boy walked straight into the room. Without seeing anyone in the room, he headed for the office. This time he walked into the workroom without any hesitation, and saw his father sitting at the desk in a relaxed position. Xian was flooded with a small amount of anger as he said through gritted teeth, "Why aren't you ready?" His father didn't even make eye contact as he uninterestedly replied, "For?" Xian approached his father to see what paperwork he was doing. Xian assumed it had to be very important for his caretaker to not pay attention to the time. He wasn't that close to his father, but he still had a level of respect for him as a high profile business owner. The boy quickly sent Weiyuan Chao off to go shower and get ready, he insincerely promised to finish what he was working on. However while he had planned to ignore the papers, he was too bored sitting in the room alone, so he pulled the papers over and quickly wrote out some solutions for the problems that had arisen within his father's business. Most of Weiyuan Chao's business was kept above board, in contrast to his son who mainly kept his hands in the shadows.
