Chapter 19: Dinner

"Yiyi-ah are you going to stay in the apartment after you turn 18?" Madam Sheng asked her in a slightly nervous voice. "Eh? Of course not, I don't want you guys to lose money on the apartment, if we rent it out then it would clearly increase our overall yearly income." Yiyi said without hesitation, she had felt guilty for staying in it, but it was convenient for school. Not to mention it was practically a penthouse apartment. It was a floor from the top, the top was a penthouse, and the floor below was split with a hallway which created two separate apartments. To show the scale of how large it was, usual floors had eight to ten apartments, so the one she was in was the size of four apartments compiled together. The family who had been silently watching Yiyi think had been startled when Yiyi's father pounded his fist on the table, "You aren't allowed to move in with that boy, I don't care if you're eighteen... you aren't allowed..." The last part had gotten quiet and sounded pitiful. "Huh?... Why would I move in with Xian??" Yiyi tilted her head in response. The family who had assumed she had already been persuaded to move in with her fiance all gave Yiyi a look of confusion. Madam Sheng quietly asked, "Then where would you move?" "Hmm maybe in the college dorms?" Yiyi chuckled, she hadn't remembered any of the original Yiyi's plans, but she could tell her body's brain and heart recognized her family. She had become more aware of it after spending time with them, the girl had been able to tell her when her heart would clench with worry over them as well. "Which college?" Liang said in a voice that carried a concealed curiosity, as he continued, "Is it XX University? The one I'm currently attending?" His voice had traces of excitement, as he thought of how he would be able to see his cute sister at school. Liang Sheng had been attending hotel management and hospitality courses, and before she could answer he had started doing math to figure out how many terms he would be getting to see his sister at school before he finished. Yiyi wasn't really sure about how the colleges in the novel worked, so she absentmindedly gave a nod towards Liang and glanced at her parents for confirmation. They had looked excited, because they assumed that if she went to the same college as Liang then she would move back in for college... Yiyi had a content smile on her face, since she had been worried about her future plans. She now had the chance to change her choices from the transition to college, and it felt a bit like she had a new opportunity to pick a different major if she wanted. Dinner came to an end, and a polite maid had taken Yiyi to her old room. She finally felt relieved about having to pick a college, and had been trying to remember which college the main characters went to. With her terrible luck she wasn't able to find any inkling to which one at all, so she had given up on waiting and ended up going with the flow. After having a conversation that took a lot of brainpower, Yiyi lied in bed and quickly crashed.
