Chapter 15: Friday
The weekend events quickly approached, and nothing monumental was happening during the first week back at school. Yiyi was once again sitting bored in class. The girl was in a study hall in her homeroom, she had already completed her homework since it was subjects she understood from before anyway. Her current hope was to just live out her second chance with things being as easy as possible. In her previous world, she tended to avoid people because she wasn't a fan of drama, but she ended up doing nothing but work, and never really enjoyed the beauty of being alive. There were so many things she wished to do, but she had left her world before she could. The girl tried to lighten her own gloomyness by thinking about now that she was in the world of a novel, wouldn't the sights be twice as good as in the real world?? She had kept considering the world she was in as a fantasy where anything could happen, but the situation was quite different from that. The novel world was her reality at this point, it was no longer just lines on a page, the characters had beating hearts, and lungs that filled with air when they took a breath. She hadn't been considering them as 'real' people. Since characters have a certain constant path, she didn't expect for them to be as inconsistent as real people are.

After zoning in and out for a while, Yiyi tried to consider when the villain fell for the female lead in the story. Without realizing it, Yiyi's eyes had wandered toward Chun Tao. She stared at the female lead, in hopes to bring out some memory of the story she might have forgotten. Honestly she didn't think Xian had that bad of a personality (for a villain), so she somewhat questioned the reason why the two of them didn't end up together. The girl opened her binder in a hushed manner, and wrote a question for the system, 'Did Xian end up with Chun Tao at the end of the book?' The system said in a displeased tone, [I can't tell you anything that happens after the cliffhanger host~] 'why??' [That would be a spoiler...] ':) so what?' [Haa- You aren't supposed to have any advantage over anyone else] The system continued in a quiet voice, [If you knew the future it would ruin the game, so don't get greedy]. The girl internally questioned what he meant by game, but she ignored it and responded, 'Ok I get it, I won't take a mile since you gave me an inch >:(' Yiyi quickly scratched out what she had written, when the school bell had brought her back to reality. Xian's eyes had been observing her since she had started writing. His interest in her had increased since their meeting outside of school, however they hadn't talked since then. When the bell rang, Yiyi stood up and walked out of the classroom with her backpack.
She had planned to head straight home, and create a game plan to stop her parents from publicly announcing their engagement. She already knew that Xian was going to have a fateful encounter with Chun Tao soon, and the engagement would get annulled. Yiyi had figured if the engagement was kept just between both their families for a year, then it wouldn't be an issue for them to end it.
The boy grabbed his already packed bag, and took a shortcut to get ahead of her, when she passed the school's courtyard, the boy who was trying to mask his presence, quickly came out from the nearby men's bathroom entrance, grabbing her arm with one hand, and her mouth with his other, and pulling her into a stall. In a husky voice he said, "Shh, it's just me."
