Chapter 8: A Friend
Yiyi woke up after a restless night of sleep, she had glanced at the clock... 6:07... She didn't even need to be up for another hour. The girl got up and walked towards the bathroom, in hopes that a shower would wake her up and clear her cloudy head that was still spinning some thoughts from yesterday around. While getting ready for her shower Yiyi checked her phone to see [Liang: Yah why didn't you text mum and dad you got to the apartment] Liang had seen that Yiyi was online, and wanted to complain that she hadn't messaged him yet. [Yiyi: I'm sorry, I won't forget next time Gege] The Sheng's secretary had already told Mr. and Mrs. Sheng that Yiyi had gotten to her apartment, so they hadn't worried about it since the usual Sheng Yiyi was often cold. Yiyi always tried to be amicable to everyone in her previous life, so when the system informed her that the Yiyi of this world treated everyone with a bit of an arrogant and cold attitude. To maintain Sheng Yiyi's cold attitude the current Yiyi just came off as a bit of a tsundere when she acted cold towards everyone. Yiyi wasn't used to acting cold, but she thought that distancing herself from the main characters was probably the best idea. The girl had finished her shower and got ready for school when the intercom buzzed, "Young Miss" A womanly voice called. [Ah the secretary's here to pick you up again] "Off we go..." Yiyi practiced a cold look, then walked out of her apartment and headed for the first floor where the secretary was patiently waiting. Yiyi approached her and gave her a slight nod, as the secretary opened the door for her. Despite having this be done for her several times Yiyi still was getting used to being pampered. The car made way to the school.

Yiyi had already been in her uniform, and added a pair of black thigh high stockings to her uniform in hopes to make her feel more comfortable without breaking dress code. Unknowingly, this added a bit of shy charm to her that grabbed the attention of the surrounding students. She ignored the stares, and kept walking towards her homeroom class. Xian who had arrived after Yiyi had glared at the other students who had kept a watchful eye on her. Xian had also been escorted by a somewhat expensive looking car, and was coldly glared at by the driver as if they had been inconvenienced. As Xian and the remaining students headed toward their class, the man who had driven Xian, used the car's bluetooth to give a report. "The young master was watching the Sheng's daughter" The man on the other side of the call was silent for a bit then responded, "Keep an eye on him I will contact the Sheng family soon." "Yes sir"

Yiyi had reached her classroom, and could hear two familiar voices shouting at each other. She ignored the commotion, and entered the classroom with an indifferent face. The female lead was fighting with the male lead... "Haaa-" She let out an audible sigh of indignation. She was wondering if this was were their relationship started. Did they date in high school too? Was that a part of the story? Yiyi laid her bag down and sat at her seat, and watched the courtyard trees shake in the wind. It was early fall so the leaves hadn't completely changed color yet, but some of the leaves had been tinted orange and yellow. A somewhat strong wind was blowing in, and rustled the trees. Xian had slipped into the classroom, and watched the loud argument with dull eyes. The teacher had finally intervened, and cut them off with class starting. The class carried on, and Yiyi barely paid attention since she had gone through these basics once before she was carefree about learning it all again. Xian who had been somewhat paying attention, had seen Yiyi yawn at the contents of the board, and scrunched his eyebrows when a note was passed to her. Yiyi had been passed a folded piece of binder paper from the girl two seats to the right, she opened it, 'Do you want to borrow my notes' Yiyi kept a somewhat cold demeanor, but decided brushing up on some subjects probably wouldn't be an issue, and if it was just chatting with a mob character there shouldn't be a problem...Hopefully...
