Chapter 6: Not Choosing, is a choice

He grinned with a glint of something in his eye. The day continued, and Sheng Yiyi was already a popular topic among the girls and boys. Yiyi just ignored it and figured that it is unavoidable in high school. The teachers' went on explaining their class expectations, and the syllabus and no sooner than when Yiyi sat with her face in her hand almost nodding off was the day over. [Host~ I haven't been able to talk to you all day~~ It was such a meanie move to do that to the female lead~~ You just shut her down so quickly!~] The system said while mimicking the girls tone. Yiyi walked toward an area that didn't have anyone around to respond to the system, "I couldn't chance it, I shouldn't get close to the main characters, it might change the plot, and honestly I would rather not be involved in all that.. The most logical solution would be to stay out of it and just avoid them all together, Chun Tao will find her own happiness, and that scumbag probably will too." Yiyi let out her thoughts she had from earlier. She wasn't forgetting about all the suffering the main characters had to experience in the novel, but she wanted to enjoy her second chance to live life to the fullest. She didn't live a bad life before, but she was simply going through the motions, she was studying to be an engineer because that's what her parents had pushed her to do. She was working part time to pay off debt, and help her family, and yet she worked without complaint, despite having so much to complain about. Yiyi stared around with a regretful look while remembering the past, when the system called out for her. [Oi host? You okay?] "Huh? Oh yea I'm good." Yiyi followed with a light chuckle and headed for the car pickup area where the assistant from the morning had been waiting patiently for her. "Young Miss" Yiyi got into the car as the door was opened for her. She nodded to the secretary with gratitude. The car drove off toward the apartment complex, but appeared to drive past it...
