Chapter 26: Week One
This is the first day of the time they will be training. On the first day they will cover the development of powers and how to control them. They need to know this because they have to care for Elan in this time of change. Tyler studied his strength so he can pass Darby. Lucas and Jacob were studying the future of what Elan might go through.
In the other part of the warehouse Elan was hooked up to a memory scanner to look into her memories. They needed to know everything that happened to her and learn ways to unblock those memories. After two hours of them scanning the first years of her life they decided to begin. They unhooked Elan from the machine and brought her to another one. After they entered the room the tied Elan down and told her it was for her safety.
Elan trusted her grandmother so she went along with it. After some time they hooked her up to a similar machine as last time. They told her to prepare herself, directly after they said that she got a rush of memories being rejogged and she started to remember everything she forgot. Since this was going by really fast Elan got to the moments of remembering her parents. She started crying and they stopped the memories after they passed 4 years old.
Elan couldn't walk because she was so broken down it has been 7 hours. Tyler and Lucas along with Jacob took her from the warehouse back to their room to let her relax because she went through a lot of memories of her past in one day.
Her grandmother returned and gave Elan and the kids some homemade ice cream and cookies to reward them for all of their hard work. She saw that Elan was crying and apologized to her saying this is the only way you can keep yourself safe. You can tell by the look on Elan's grandmother's face she felt like it was her fault for the curse being placed on her.
Elan's grandmother left the room to let the kiddos relax. Along with cheering up each other. They al played video games while Elan fell asleep in Tyler's lap. This continued to happen for the whole week until the last day that week when Elan witnessed her parents getting murdered.
Elan learned that she wasn't in the other room when her parents died. She learned they jumped in the way of the bullet because the people were trying to kill her. She heard them say her controlling the future will kill us all. Her father got shot first and he handed Elan to the mother while she ran away bleeding out. She handed Elan to her to the grandmother and she died seconds after. Elan was so shocked to see this all happen that she blacked out and had a seizure from the shock her body experienced all at once. She was rushed to the emergency room and it put a delay in her training.
Elan was in a coma and they said it was because she experienced a very mental trauma and weren't sure when she will wake up. Elan's grandmother knew this was a lot for her to handle but she never suspected she would be put into a coma state. She will just have to wait until Elan decides to wake up.
