Chapter 17: Future begins
It was past Elan's birthday and it has been two days since the incident. Doctor Walker and the guys thought it has been enough time so they would ask what happened to her over the two days she was there. Elan began to tell them everything Darby said along with the things that made Elan wonder about her curse.
"Mr. Walker I have some questions regarding Darby since he knew everything about me and supposedly more than me. Like for example he said if I lose my virginity to a person I will have to stay with that person no matter who they are, why is that. Also how does he have stronger powers than me".
Elan was going off with questions and he said let me tell toy everything I know and I will give you the family journals early. This is your grandma's wish as she learned of your kidnapping. Also Darby was supposed to be your personal guardian but he ran away at 17 and he wants to punish you for him missing his childhood.
Darby's powers are given to him at the age of 15 years old and he learns how to cultivate his powers till the age of 17 or 18. It depends on how eagerly he wants his power to grow. Also since he wanted to be stronger than you his powers grew out of hand".
Elan started to think that she's getting blamed and hunt down by someone who no one can control and how he wants to rape her and use her for her power of seeing the future. Elan starred towards everyone and said, "How are you going to keep him away from me if you couldn't do that the first time. His a lot stronger from back then if your theory about powers growing. No matter where I go he could find me like when I was unconscious he could've put a tracker inside me.
Am I just supposed to sit here and wait for him to break out of jail and him to find me again". Elan was scared because if he ended up actually getting ahold of her and making her have sex the family guardians said they can't do anything and that he would own Elan till she dies.
The car came to a stop and Doctor Walker said okay the family guardians are waiting for us to pass down the family journals to Elan. They began to walk to the door and Doctor Walker stopped everyone and told Tyler, Jacob, and Lucas to go wait at the car because they weren't allowed to go into the building. Elan opened the door to find 16 groups of people who appeared to be from different parts of the world.
When Elan was growing up she was taught different languages so she could understand everyone around her. She walked up to the first group of people and they spoke Arabic the lady walked up and said "huna alkitab raqm wahd"(here's book number one). Elan said "shukraan jazilaan" (thank you so much).
Elan continued through 14 more and at the last one the book was a lot bigger than the other books that she received. The family that was passing the book to her were friends of her mother. They were from Japan but the book was from her mother it was the only book that was in English her mother hand translated the book for her. "Dare mo ko no hon o yomu koto ga dekinai koto ni chūi shite kudasai." (Please note that no one can read this book.) Elan nodded her head and accepted the book she thanked everyone and walked to the car to head back home.
She told the guys that they can read all the books with her to make a plan except the last book. That book no one has seen and maybe it will help her protect herself. She knew this would be a long journey of reading these books but at least she had friends to help her on this path.
They arrived home and went to the room to temporarily hide the books knowing Tyler's father will ask questions when he gets back from the hospital. Tyler's dad woke up later that night and will be held in the hospital for another two to three weeks to make sure there was no complications or health issues related to being shot. This would give Elan, Tyler, Jacob, and Lucas time to study the first 6 books and to start a plan. It started to become night and they wanted enough rest since they will wake up early to go and start reading book number one.
Before they would go to sleep they made dinner and made sure they secured every window and door of the house. This is the first time they came back to the house since the shooting. They didn't want to take any chances so they set up cameras and set the alarm so if anyone tried to break in they would trigger the alarm. Elan went to bed first since she had a very exaggerated week and she just wanted to go to bed in comfort. The guys sat at the dinner table talking. Tyler started to talk,
"Hey Jacob and Lucas if you want to protect Elan you have to tell me everything about her so I can help you guys. You both know you can't protect her alone. You guys need my help". Lucas and Jacob told him the past of Elan's history and how it all started. He looked confused but he said "that's kinda cool besides the whole fact of her life being in danger every time she sleeps or just walks around".
They lowered their voices because they didn't want to wake up Elan. One by one they walked to the bed room. It was 12 and they decided to go to bed. Tyler tucked in Elan and turned on the heater to make sure Elan wouldn't be cold and he climb under the covers. He turned over and told everyone goodnight and he looked closely at Elan and said "Don't worry I'll protect you with my life because I love you". He rolled back over and went to sleep.
