Chapter 15: Darby’s Past
*This Chapter is about Darby's life*
It all started when Darby was 5 years old, he was told that he will be raised to be a guardian of family friends child. Darby was told about how he wasn't allowed to do what he wants anymore. As a result he was homeschooled to become the next guardian and family leader.
At the age of 8 years old he was thought the past of the girl he must protect. Darby asked for the girls name instead of the cursed one. They told him her name was Elan. Darby didn't like Elan because he knew he would have to give up everything he loves to watch her. Darby planned on going along with this until the day his strong enough and can have his revenge.
On Darby's 9th birthday they told him what has been happening to Elan. They read all of the families journals so he knows how to protect her. Every day that passed he would study a new section of her powers. He studied her weaknesses more than anything else along with her strengths. He wanted her to feel the pain that he has to go through to protect her.
One day in his class his mother walked in and asked him how he feels because she was objected to the idea of him giving up his life. Darby said "Don't worry mother I am happy to uphold our family promise. I will watch her with every part of my body." Darby didn't say he would play nice with Elan. He hinted he would watch her but he didn't promise anything about touching.
Darby was now 12 years old and his hatred for Elan has grown. He was making a plan to get his revenge. As his duty as guardian he would get super powers like Elan but 4 times stronger at the age of 15. This would give him enough time to cultivate his powers.
*At age 17*
Darby moved out to go find Elan as his quest would start. His parents told him to leave and not come back till he finds her. Darby gave his last words to his parents.
"Mom and dad you think I will actually listen to you now. I have my freedom and I'm going to punish everyone that took away my freedom growing up starting with you guys. But since you are my parents I won't take out all my anger on you guys but if you try to stop me you will regret everything. I will find Elan but it won't be to protect her. I will make her feel mental and physical pain just like what I felt but worse".
Darby packed up his belongings and left his home at the age of 17. Over the weeks he used his powers to gain respect on the streets. Darby soon because the strongest gang leader that soon gained enough power to spread the gang across the country.
Around the age of 17 and 5 months he began his first man hunt. It was to go after Elan. Darby has killed many people of the guardians to get information on Elan's whereabouts. It took another 4 months to find Elan.
Darby followed Elan to observe her from a distance to find a perfect moment for her guard to be down. He followed Elan to California and watched all of the places she went to in California. He saw her rushed to the emergency room and thought the perfect moment to get her is during her recovery process I will send two of my guys.
On the day of her check up they followed her and the people she was with about to go home. The two guys were named Max and Tommy. They saw them pull up to the beach house and were about to charge and take her but they saw shots fired.
They called Darby and told him what happened and he told Max to wait by the hospital because she will probably go pick up food for her injured Friends. Max agreed and they headed to the hospital to wait.
*Three hours later*
They saw Elan coming out of the hospital moving really slowly on her crutches. Max started to talk to Tommy. "Hey Tom I think I can handle her myself you go get the van and the drug so this goes by smoothly. Also Darby picked the perfect time to get her since no one is around at this time of day".
Elan left the store and Max thought it was now or never and grabbed her from behind and injected the drug into her neck. Max was body slammed to the ground but he got up and picked up Elan and started to talk.
"Damn I don't think this girl is that strong she was nocked out so quickly by this small drug. Hey Tom come get us before someone sees". Tommy pulled up with the van and they drove for the next couple hours to the safe house which was located in Death Valley.
Darby walked into the room and thought that all of his hard work has finally come to reality. He will make Elan suffer. Darby thought that he will take everything precious to her. He will make her feel she lost all hope of being safe. He came up with a plan that by taking a girls virginity she will feel as if she isn't strong and can't fight back.
He will start his plan in two days which is after her birthday so she feels like he isn't a bad person. Then he will make her suffer. Darby decided he needed time to come up with a plan to make her suffer the most. He will first go to bed but he has to make sure Elan is tied down and knows her place first. Then he will begin his plan to fulfill his life long revenge.
Darby had one thing in mind right before he went to bed. His thought was that if someone tries to get in his way he will have no mercy to put an end to their life along with ending everybody that person loves.
