Chapter 13: Tyler’s Dad
The next day Tyler's dad said that he will take Elan for a check up at the hospital. He wanted to use this as an opportunity to get a closer look at Elan's brain scans.
The doctor and nurse that brought Elan to the room for her check up didn't let Tyler's dad pass the examinations doorway because they "wanted to keep the privacy of the teen". Which was a code for them to keep Elan's secret safe. They gave Elan an MRI, blood work, changed her bandages, and also cleaned her stitches. After all of the check up proceeders were done they decided to have a conversation about the dream and if Elan remembered anything from the nightmare that she had. Elan stared at them and said she knows the person that attacked her in her dream.
"I remembered this last night when I was sleeping, it came into my mind as flashes as if it was a memory of something in the past since it was so realistic. I don't know why he would do that to me even if it is a nightmare I don't understand what it means."
Doctor Walker said "Elan first we need to know who it is that did this to you. We are going to be breaking your mothers rule about not to tell you about this but this happening earlier than we expected."
Elan began to look at them with a settle face and she sat up and asked them for a piece of paper that she could write on to tell them. Doctor Walker and nurse Cline looked at her with a conservative look and grabbed her a note pad.
*written on note pad*
"The person I saw in my nightmare was Tyler's father Mr.Arrow and recently his been observing my every move since he came back from Maine. He even came to take me to this appointment and tried to follow me into the exam room, that's the reason I'm writing this down since I don't want to take the chance of him hearing me say this.
Please take this into consideration to make it not obvious that you guys suspect him or know that he is a suspicious person, and he also is the owner of the main hospital in Maine that also has a brain scan of me since I was rushed into the emergency room."
*Back to speaking*
Doctor Walker looked at Elan and said "well this is the most important time for me to tell you about your nightmares and why they are starting to come real".
Doctor Walker pulled out a note book and began to show Elan all the information from it and said "this is the note book from your family about your nightmares and Elan over the whole period of time that you are getting closer to the age of 21 your dreams are going to get stronger to the point you can't control them. This is called inauguration which means the beginning phases.
The closer you get to the age of 21 your moods will affect the way your dreams will be told which is also similar to how your dreams will be in your 20's. Read this note book carefully and don't let it get into the arms of someone dangerous or a person you don't trust."
Nurse Cline helped Elan into her wheelchair and hid the book under Elan's lap so Mr.Arrow doesn't notice. On the way out she said to Elan to make sure to not forget their next appointment on June 26th.
Elan and Tyler's dad went to the car and Jacob and Lucas helped her into the car and saw the note book but they hid it from the father just in time. On their way home they went to a restaurant called Cafe Brasil. Elan ordered chicken with pesto along with a salad and the other's ordered steak or some type of duck because Tyler loved duck.
While they were eating Tyler's dad started asking Elan a bunch of questions about what happened during her check up. Question after question Tyler looked to his dad and said " can you stop asking her questions while she is eating that is seen as disrespectful at a dinner table especially when your talking about hospital stuff. You can wait some other time to ask these questions but it doesn't mean she has to answer those questions. You since it's called a private matter for a reason. Tyler's dad realized he was stepping out of line so he decided to stop with the questions.
On their way home right outside of their house their was a person trying to break in so the dad told them to stay inside the car while he checks it out and to have them call the cops. Mr. Arrow got out of the car to go and confront the man he noticed he had a gun he got closer to the man and realized it was a ex patient of his from Maine. He was concerned on how the patient found him already. Mr. Arrow got the man fired and his family to leave him because he wouldn't go to therapy.
The man was screaming and turned around to see the car with the kids in it and saw Mr.Arrow standing in it path. Tyler has already told the cops and is still on the phone with them. A couple shots were fired one hitting Mr.Arrow while two hit the car and he was walking up to the car to shoot the kids after shooting the father the cops showed up in the nick of time to save the kids.
Tyler ran to his father who was being carried away to the ambulance and the bullet that hit the car also hit Lucas in the leg as he was covering Elan. This was an urgent matter as to Tyler's dad has already lost a lot of blood and was endanger.
