Chapter 1: Childhood
Elan had a different life growing up compared to to the other kids her age. She didn't have parents because her mom and dad were murdered when she was sleeping in the other room. She was adopted by her grandmother who lived in the country side when she was at the age of 5 years old. Ever since that moment she had nightmare after nightmare and her grandma brought her to many doctors to try and help little Elan sleep without pain. All of the doctors had the same answer and it was you have to wait for her to grow out of it and to bring her into the realization that she can have a happy future. Around the age of 8 years old her nightmares finally stopped completely and for three months following her 8th birthday she started having strange dreams of her as an adult. She ignored her dreams because she didn't know what they meant and Elan was only 8 years old so she didn't pay much mind to it.
One day Elan had a dream about her nana but she didn't know how to interpret her dreams. She went to her nana to tell her about the dreams that she has been having and the confusion she was experiencing towards her dreams. Then her nana said "it's about the time I tell you what you have been experiencing and why you are experiencing these dreams it was the same with your great great great auntie from your grandpa's side of the family. Here have a seat and I will get you a snack because it is a long story that dates back to the 1600's." At this moment Elan was almost 10 years old and she was about to learn of the past of her family and the hardships that she will experience in her future. Soon Elan will learn that she will have to keep this a secret from everyone around her for her safety and the safety of others, the only people that are allowed to know of her dreams or the people in her future family.
