Chapter 3: Life 003
Since that moment, i've been thinking. Why they hide something from me? Why did they do this me? Why did no one trust me?
The first day when i was kicked out, i was going to the nearest hotel. But it's a stormy night, so i go to the garage in my parents' house. I took shelter there with no food and no blanket. But i'n still lucky that my dad didn't lock the garage so i can go in and sleep for a night.
"I hope my parents' give me something in this suitcase." That's what i hope. Atleast a canned food or a clothes that i can use. But when i open the suitcase, there's only 100$, a pen, a book, and a peforated napkin, only that. But why they give me money, a pen, a book, and a peforated napkin? I was hoping to atleast get a food and clothes. But with 100$, how long can i survived?
After a while I went to sleep, but before that i prayed. I hope that behind all this that happens to me, i hope i can get my happiness back. No, I don't want to be rich, I don't want girls, I just want to be happy with the people I love. That's all, God. Please grant my prayer.

I heard the sound of birds chirping, and i opened my eyes. Hoping last night wasn't a dream.
"Aaaaaah, it's morning. Eh.. so it's true." So what happened last night.. Everything was true.
-Day 1-
"Well now i need to go to school. But i don't have anymore clothes and i didn't take a bath yet. Maybe i'll just stop going to school from now on."
But i don't want that to happened. Next week, i should've take a math competition. But now i can't, not with this kind of situation.
I get up and go away from my old house. I don't know where to go, i left my phone somewhere. Maybe at that valley when i beat up the murderer. And now i can't contact my friend or anyone. I also don't have money to buy a new one.
"What a bad luck is this." i speak to myself.
"Yow Ray, what happened? You look like a person that has been thrown to a trash can."
Ah shit, this guy again. Whenever i'm in a difficult situation, this man always comes from nowhere. Why does this person always come to me, is he my girlfriend? Even if he is anyone's girlfriend, why everytime in this kind of situation.
His name is Kay. He is one of my classmate. I say my classmate and not my friend because he is a stupid, arrogant, useless, and hopeless kid. He always cheat when we have a test. He always bothered me everywhere i go. I don't want to talk with this guy, just wasting my time. So then i just walk passed him.
"Oy, you dare to ignore me, Ray?" He touch my shoulder and press it.
"What do you want, Kay?" I don't have a choice, i don't want to make any trouble for now. Im tired of it.
"Why don't you go to school? I mean you're going opposite way. Are you in my group now?"
Ah, here it goes. Maybe i'll just tell him that i won't go to school anymore so please tell everyone. For the best i think. But i didn't tell Rin and Jill yet. Maybe if i meet them they will be so angry. I don't know how to explain to them what do i do. Maybe they don't believe me either.
"Um Kay, can you tell everyone at school that i dropped out from school?"
"Huh? What are you.. are you joking? Why would you dropped out? You're so smart and joining a math competition for next week right?"
"I'm sorry, i can't explain. Just tell them okay? Also tell Rin and Jill sorry."
"Oy.. wait."
He tries to call me and hold me but i run away from him. I don't want to meet my friend anymore. If they know the truth i will be dead. No one will believe me and no one can help me. But i also think that Rin and Jill will believe me.
"Oyy, wait for me. Why do you running away?"
He finally caught me and punch me in my face.
"Why are you dropped out from the school? Answer me!" He raised his voice.
"Aaah, i don't know what to do now." I cried out loud. It's very annoying that i can't calm in this kind of situation.
Yes, this is the situation that i never imagine that would come to me. That's why i really don't know what to do.
"What happened dude? Can you tell me what happened?"
To him? Really? Why would i tell him what just happened? To my enemy? For real man.
"Nothing happened, it just a family problem. You should not get in my way dude. Now you're free from my shadow right? What do you want now?"
"You idiot!!!" He punch my face again. "I'm your classmate, no, i'm your friend. We've been friends since we were junior high school right?"
"Huh, you? You calling me your friend? For real man? Why do i want to become your friend? A trash like you?"
He punch me again.
"Ray, it's not like you. What just happened? I know that you are a cool guy, a smart guy, a kind hearted guy, a guy that always stopped me doing something bad. But now? Why do you look like a bum?"
Ah, he is right. I just lost myself. It's the first time i lost myself infront of people. It's so weird that i can't handle myself. Usually i help people but now i can't even help myself.
"Oy, answer me Ray. What just happened?"
I can't answer him. I'm not brave enough to do that. I'm so scared right now.
"Nothing really. I'm just tired that's all. Now i'm going back okay? Bye."
"Oy.. wai-" even before he finished speaking, i immediately interrupted.
"Can you please don't tell anyone about what happened today. Thank you."
"Oh.."
Kay really confused what just happened. He didn't know what to do. So he stay shut and go back to school.
I keep walking, walking, and walking without knowing where to go. I look like a bum that's worse than a bum.
"Yeah, i'm so sad right now. I just lost my coolness. Not only that, even Kay punch me twice. Hahaha, i don't know man."
I can only laugh at myself because no one can be laughed at. It's just sad that i looked like this. I'm really horrible, i can't control myself.
I can only keep walking and walking. That's what i can do for now. I can't think anything right now. I'm hungry and thirsty.

It's 3 P.M, usually i go home at this time. But now i don't have anymore place to go. I keep walking until i got an idea.
"Oh yeah, I know a park that usually bums sleep there."
It's called Brownsen Park. That park is where i met Jill for the first time. And it was like 10 years ago. I was lucky to meet him and Rin. We always do something together and have fun together.
But now that happiness has been destroyed, no, not destroyed, it's taken. I still have a hope to regain my happiness. But i need to do something now rather than thinking where i need to sleep.
Because i still have money, maybe i'll just go to motel then. Even though it will cost a lot. But i'm really tired today and got no where to go.
So then i walked to the nearest motel. It's called Moto Motel, it has a discount sign so i'll go there.
I open the door and i see that this motel isn't that bad as i think. It's worth it i think, only 10$ per night.
"Excuse me, i want to book a room, a single bed. Are there any available?"
"Yes, it would be 10$ please."
"Here. Thanks."
"Thank you sir, your room is at second floor."
Second floor room 13, that's very far from the stair. Well as long as i get a discount, no problem i think.
I open my room and turn on the switch.
"Eh, this room is not that bad. I think because of discount they will give me a bad room."
I'm happy that this room is not dirty. This room also gives you free water and tea. But you need to pay for the sugar and other stuff. But that's okay for now, because i'm here only for a day. Tomorrow i'll find a job and a new place to stay. Maybe a cheaper one if i can get.
The first thing to do is no other than going to the bathtub.
I open the bathroom door and it was very dark.
"Where's the switch? I thought it is inside the room." I try to find the switch but didn't find it.
"Maybe it's outside of the bathrom?" I go to the front door and try to find the bathroom switch.
"There's only one switch, and that is for this room's light. Then where is the switch for the bathroom? Maybe i should call the receptionist."
So then i go to the lobby and call the receptionist. He said that the switch is in the bathroom's door. After hearing that, i go back to my room to find that switch.
"Eh, it's true. Why did they put the switch behind the door? Who will know if they put it there. So stupid."
I switch on the light and turn on the water tap.
It started to fill the bathtub. Then i take off my clothes and jump to the bathtub.
"Eeeeh, atleast a heaven. It's been a long time since i take a bath."
Yeah, it's been two days without bath already. I must be really smelly and dirty. I've never been smelled bad. That's what people said to me, before.
Thinking about what happened today, I really am a living trash man. Even my enemy is thinking that i'm a cool guy.
"Hehe, trash."
In the end after i soaked in the bathtub, i immediately slept without doing anything else. Maybe i'm very tired, that's why i immediately sleep.

"Ouch, it's very bright."
The light forced me to wake up.
"Oh, it's already morning huh."
-Day 2-
It's already morning. I prepare myself to check out from the motel and continue to find a place to live and a job. I hope i can get both today without any problem.
Before i left the motel, i write what just happened three days ago until today in the book that my parents give. I don't write much but atleast i write what i feel that day.
After i check out from the motel, i walk again. This time i know where i want to go. I'll go to the nearest fast food restaurant to have a breakfast and finding job there. I think i can work there even though i'm not even graduated.
So then i go to the nearest restaurant. It's called LChicken, i usually go here when my parents didn't cook my breakfast.
"Oh yeah i just realized that actually that motel is still near my house."
Yeah, i didn't realized it at all yesterday. Probably because i didn't thinking clear yesterday.
Finally i arrived at the restaurant.
"Good morning. Do you want to eat here or take away."
"Eat here please. Number 1 one please."
"Okay, please wait."
I'm really hungry now. I didn't remember when the last time i eat. Luckily i'm used to being hungry. I ever not eating anything for two days in a row. Because i was trying hard to study for competition.
But now that i don't need to do anything, i can do anything i want. Atleast for a few days until my money runs out.
"Here's your order sir, 5$ please."
"Here, thanks."
"Thank you sir."
Atleast i can eat. This is my favorite combo, number one. Everytime i go here, i always order number one. It's cheap and it's really good.
"It's time to eat."
Before i eat my chiken, i hear someone calling my name.
"Ray!!! Is that you?"
The voice I hear often. No doubt, this voice is Rin's
