Chapter 22: I can never win a conversation with you.
Zenith and Linda are now in their car and no one dared to start a conversation. Truthfully speaking the car was in awkward silence with a classical background music.
This music has put Linda into a deep slumber in the passenger seat.
"Nooooooooooooo....",Linda shouted at the peak of her voice and then scanned her surrounding.
Zenith on the other hand startled by her sudden scream stepped on the breaks. He moved his gaze towards Linda and found that she was covered with a thick layer of sweat.
Linda relaxed only when she found the atmosphere familiar and grabbed Zenith's hand which was wiping her sweat in the forehead.
She again got her nightmare. This was the second time she gets the same nightmare.
"Relax, I here. I am with you.",Zenith said taking her in his embrace.
She answered him with a 'mm' and looked at him through her teary eyes. He smiled at the view of her scary side.
"Why are you smiling?",Linda asked her in an hoarse voice.
"You look cute with the teary eyes of yours."
"Really?", she asked him and slapped his shoulders with a laugh.
"See you are gorgeous when you laugh."
"It was a nice pick up line.",Linda said with a smile that was lingering on her face when she was laughing.
"Who said it was a pick up line?", Zenith asked with a playfulness in his voice.
"You are doing it so openly and could it be difficult to find why you say that?"
"What do I do so openly?"
"You know that well enough."
"OK. I accept my defeat. I think I can never win a conversation with you.",Zenith said and concentrated on his driving.
After a few minutes of silence Linda questioned,"I don't remember having a long conversation other than this, for you to lose to me."
Smiling at her dialogue, he shook his head and said, "How can you forget our conversation on the day when you woke up after the accident and asked me to feed you?"
"Ohhh..., how can I forget that beautiful time. Actually my mom said we didn't get along well after our wedding, so I thought why should I treat my husband so coldly and I finalized that he should be somewhat crack for me to deal with him like that.",after giggling she continued,"But when my mom said you are my husband, I couldn't help but to drool for you from head to toes."
"So even before our marriage you liked me, right?", Zenith asked with an eagerness in his voice.
"I don't remember about that, but I can say when I woke up and saw you for the first time, I fell for you handsomeness."
They both laughed after her confessing how she felt for the first time when she saw him.
"So we both only had long conversation twice?", Linda asked him and he said,"Not actually. We had a long conversation on the night when you were drunk."
Linda's cheeks turned into beet red after hearing what he said. But she didn't remember any of the events that happened in that drunken night.
Zenith's ears were getting red due to what he remembered. She kissed him and that was their first kiss.
To hide the embarrassment he continued,"The first time we both argued was during our wedding night."
