Chapter 9: You are dead Linda
"Oh, what the hell, Linda.", Linda said touching her flushed cheeks.
That night was a sleepless night for Linda, tossing and turning over the bed.
Linda was able to prepare the breakfast early in the morning as she didn't sleep the whole night and when it was half past seven Zenith walked down wearing an formal attire.
Running to the stairs Linda said,"Hubby, I have prepared your breakfast come and have it."
Nodding his head he walked towards the dining table where the dishes where arranged. When Zenith ate his first spoon his head started spinning in spiciness.
He dropped the spoon on the table and his eyes where watery because of spiciness.
"Hubby, do you like it?", Linda asked in an excitement.
Starring into Linda's hazel eyes he was mesmerized. He couldn't disappoint her. But he couldn't continue eating this. 'An idea. You are dead Linda.'with this thought Zenith showed hand signal to Linda to come near him.
Linda with a smile walked towards him. Zenith patted the chair next to him to signal her to sit next to him.
Zenith took a spoonful of dish what Linda prepared and moved his hands towards Linda's mouth. Surprised by his action Linda was sitting still as she didn't know what to do.
"Open your mouth.",Zenith said and Linda followed his command and opened her mouth.
'One second, Two second, Three se...'
"Ahhhh. Shhhh. Shh.",Linda gibberingly started talking.
Unable to control his laughter by Linda's action he started laughing out loud.
On the other hand Linda started crying unable to control her spiciness. Zenith was amused with her childish behavior but he handed her a glass full of water.
Gulping the water in one sip she asked for more and he gave her more.
Again after calming her, he again returned to his poker face.
Taking an apple from the fruit basket he walked out out his house.
Again an smile crept on his face and this smile reached his eyes.
"Ohh.. Lin. What the hell have you done. Did you forget cooking is not a pickup point for you.", Linda shouted with frustration.
Checking the time it was eight five and she must get ready for her work.
Ohh.. I forget to say you that she in an writer with low profile. The books she write was always on top selling list all over the world. Even her parents don't know about this. Only her friend Luna knows about this. She started her studio when she was in her high school junior year. She has published five books so far. Everything she writes are about action, horror, crime, mystery and so on. But sorry no romance. She was really poor in this genre.
Returning back from her studio she walked straight into her room without noticing a figure sitting in the living room sofa. She was exhausted. Exhausted to the core.
Zenith walked upstairs and stood before Linda's room. Knocking the door he waited for her to open the door but to his disappointment she didn't open the door.
He found that the door was ajar and he walked in pushing the door open. Scanning the room he found her lying in the bed with her stomach.
He cleared his throat and then Linda bothered to lift her head up and found her husband standing right in front of her.
Quickly changing her posture she sat straight in the bed waiting for him to speak.
