Haru frowned and became displeased, he was angry at the womans husband that had left her for riches and fame.
"Why did she marry her husband again if she knew he might abandon her in the end?."
"Love is like a curse, you cannot simply let go of the person you love. Humans have the tendency to always grab the slightest bit of hope."
"Then what happened next?."
The story had piqued Haru's interest that he couldn't resist listening to more but the more he heared the more sour his face became.
"After she had experienced to many reincarnations she grew tired of it, she had the slightest hope that one day her husband would love her until the end but it was still the same as the first time it happened until it went on and on, the one thing that hurted her the most was when her husband had killed her to save another woman.
She begged the Goddess of Happines to break her wish but even the Goddess could not easily destroy it. The only viable situation was to find a soul that was compatible with her body. her soul was blessed by a god therefore a blessed childs body is much more superior than a human being.
the soul will be transferred into her body but the process will damage the soul of the woman and might actually dissipate. The Goddess proposed the idea but would not recommend it to the woman, desperation in the womans eyes she agreed to it even if she had to risk dying.
Decades had passed but they still could not find any soul and then a miracle had happened as the woman was about to die once again by the hands of his betraying husband, a soul from a different dimension had transferred into her body and it was you."
His mouth gaped and his eyes were wide open, he was surprised to the point his mouth had shaped into a golf ball.
"Shocked?."
The old man said smiling like a father looking at his amusing son, Haru nodded his head.
"Do you still want me to continue?."
"Yes!."
Haru shouted in excitement it was like he was watching an anime movie full of plot twists and twisted moments. He was excited even by the fact that his name was mentioned.
"Before her soul dissapeared she said her one last wish to the Goddess of happiness."
"What was it?."
"It was to be happy."
"Ha?."
Haru sighed in disbelief she could have wished for the mans soul to just dissapear instead she wished for happiness that could only appear in a moment.
"Her one last wish was to make the soul that transferred into her body to be happy."
The old man looked at him feeling remorseful, the woman was indeed kind hearted but in the end her kindness was taken advantage by the people around her.
Haru became silent, he really felt pity to the woman, she was like an angel that descended into a land full of devils, he thougth if he was in her shoes he will never fall in love with same guy that abandoned him and will never make any mistakes again, if he had a chance to do it himself, Haru smiled at the old man and seemed to understand what was going on.
"Then let me ask you again, will you do anything to regain your old life back?."
"Of course"
Haru knew why the old man had asked the question once more, without hesitating he agreed with much confidence and without ambiguity
As soon as he said his response the room became black and his vision turned blurry, a noise was ringing in his head.
"Bless you for your safe journey."
the old mans hand caressed his head, his voice echoed in Haru's mind, his vision returned later on but he only saw flashing lights.
"Congratulations Duchess, its a baby girl!."
A ladies voice was heard, it was toneless and rather croaky.
Haru could not see the people who were talking nor can he feel anything, his whole body was numb and his body was surprisingly sticky.
"Congratulations, Duchess!."
A voice of a rather penetrating young lady shouted in a high pitch tone, weeps were heard and continues chattering of the young ladies.
He was confused about what the ladies were talking about so he tried to speak but the only thing that came out was air.
"Look!, The madam is trying to speak!."
The young lady screamed, it was the same lady that shouted earlier.
"Martha, do not speak so loud or you might scare the madam."
Another lady said, her voice flat and monotonous.
He once again tried to speak, A voice had indeed came out from his mouth but cries and noises were the only sound that he had unconsciously said.
"look, you scared the madam."
After that a session of endless bickering were started by the young ladies.
"What will you name her, Duchess?."
The voice of the old woman was heared once again, after listening to it once more her voice sounded the same as the old man in the forest, the only difference was that the other had a high pitched voice and the other had a low pitched voice.
"I will name my baby, Carnia... Carnia Valentine."
A young ladies voice was once again heared but this voice was rather soothing and alluring. His eyes became droopy and body exhausted. The bickering noises were slowly fading away, the voice had made Haru's body relax and quielty fell asleep.
