The truth is gonna unfold (2)
"Hello? Lei Kai Xuan I need to talk to you," as Xia Xi commanded through the phone.
"I have nothing to talk to you," he coldly responded. "If there's nothing else, I'm going to end the phone."
"I don't care if you have nothing to talk to me about. But I'm going to wait outside of your company." Xia Xi ended the phone and took the picture that she found in the box and headed out.
"She's crazy. Why would she think I would go out this time." Lei Kai Xuan sat down on the couch and opened the tv. "There will be heavy rain and wind tonight, make sure you don't go out and if you do, don't forget to bring an umbrella," as the news broadcasted. Lei Kai Xuan looks out the window. "Wait, it still doesn't mean that I have to go out. She said she'll wait, but doesn't mean I'll go," as he kept using excuses. Suddenly, it started to rain. He could hear the rain sounds and winds hitting the window. He looks at the tv again and sighs. "Did I owe her?" as he got up and grabbed his jacket, and umbrella out.
Xia Xi took the cab to his office, but didn't realize it'll rain this hard. "Miss? I'm sorry, but I have to go home now." Xia Xi looked through the car window and hesitated. "Sorry to bother you." Xia Xi gives him the money and walks out. The Lei's Group doesn't have a shield under their building, so Xia Xi has nowhere to take shelter. And this time, all the cafes are closed. She pulled up her hood and covered herself. She watched as cars passed by, but couldn't see Lei Kai Xuan anywhere.
At the other side, Lei Kai Xuan who was two streets away saw Xia Xi standing there. He sits there watching her and his brain flashes back memories when they were together. "Why does she have to be so persistent on something that she shouldn't remember?" as he sits there watching her covering herself from the ring.
The wind swoosh by and it blew Xia Xi's hood off and her hair was all drenched from top to bottom. The rain got harder and she still didn't see Lei Kai Xuan, but she didn't give up. She will keep standing there until he's gonna show up.
"Are you stupid? It's raining this hard and you're still standing here?" as Lei Kai Xuan came in front of her and held the umbrella.
"I won't leave until I talk to you," as she yelled over the rain and wind.
"What if I didn't come?"
"Then, I'll keep waiting until you do."
"I won't tell you what you need to hear. Just go back," Lei Kai Xuan looks at her sternly. Once Lei Kai Xuan says something, that will be it. He won't change it.
Xia Xi looks back at him and suddenly <<BOOM!>>, she drops down to the floor unconsciously. "Xia Xi?!!" as Lei Kai Xuan throws his umbrella and kneels down. He taps on his face, but no one responds. He quickly carries her to his car and calls his private doctor to his house.
Once he arrives outside his house, the doctor is already there waiting for him. Lei opened the door and followed him inside. He put Xia Xi on his bed and the doctor quickly went over to Xia Xi. Lei Kai Xuan looks at her while the doctor is examining. He is also drenched from the rain and heart beating so fast. "Mr. Lei, this lady is having a very high fever right now. She must get out of these wet clothes or else her fever will just keep getting higher and won't get better." Lei Kai Xuan looks over at her and back at the doctor. "Who's doing it for her?" as he looks at the doctor. The doctor looks back at him, "aren't you her boyfriend?" Lei Kai Xuan stares at the doctor and looks back at Xia Xi who is in pain from the fever. "Get out," as he commanded. The doctor walks out, leaving Xia Xi and Lei Kai Xuan alone.
He walks over to her side and looks down at her. She's sweating and all wet from the wind. Lei Kai Xuan could see her body shivering. He tightens his fist, "I'm doing this to only safe you. Don't blame me for anything," as he unbuttons her clothes and changes it to his. After about three minute, he called the doctor back in.
"Okay, I gave her an injection which will help her to relieve her fever. But make sure to check on her temperature from time to time. If her fever gets higher again, call me." Lei Kai Xuan thanked the doctor and walked the doctor out.
He walks back to his room and Xia Xi is still laying on his bed unconscious. "This is another nightmare. Always bringing me trouble," he took a seat on the couch facing the bed. He suddenly looked down and realized that he was all drenched from the rain too. He stood up and went straight to the shower.
15 minutes later he got out and as he was drying his hair, he saw Xia Xi sweating a lot. He took a new towel and wet it with warm water. As he wipes her sweat away, he could feel that she's still shivering. Lei touches her forehead and it's still burning hot. "Cold…. Co-cold…" as Xia Xi weakly called out. "What did you say?" as Lei Kai Xuan leans in closer. "Cold," as she said it again.
"Cold?" Lei Kai Xuan touches her hand and it's freezing. He went to the other guest room and grabbed that blanket, and put it on top of Xia Xi. "How about now?" But Xia Xi still said cold and Lei Kai Xuan didn't know what to do now. He looks at her as she's fighting the battle. He suddenly got on the other side of the bed and went inside the cover. He got closer to her and hugged her. He felt that shiver and heat through Xia Xi. He moved her closer to him. Slowly, both of them drifted to sleep, and under Lei Kai Xuan's warmth, Xia Xi had stopped shivering.
