You still?
On the other hand, Xia Xi holds in the pain on her hand and calls a cab back to work. Once she arrives back to work, she hides her wound using her jacket and walks to her room. She closed the door and quickly called Fan Fan to bring her an ice pack. Her hand is so red and there's a small blister already.
"Here's the ice pack you need. What happened to your hand?"
"Close the door first," as Xia Xi took the ice pack from her.
"Xia Xi, the ice pack won't do anything. You need to go to the hospital to check it out." As Fan Fan looks at her worried.
"I'm fine. Just go get me some bandages." Once Fan Fan brought back the bandages back, she helped Xia Xi wrap the wound. "Are you sure that you don't need to go to the hospital? It could get infected if you don't go." "I'm fine, just don't tell anyone about it." Fan Fan nods her head and walks back out to work.
"Xia Xi, I want to get the first draft for this season by tomorrow morning," as her grandmother calls her. She looks at her hand and sighs. "How could I draw when my hand is like this." She didn't give up and took out her sketchbook. She stares at it for a really long time, but couldn't find any inspiration. "How could I hand this in by tomorrow when I can't draw," she got frustrated and crumbled the paper.
After work is done, she walks out the building and finds Han Chen standing outside waiting for her. "Hey whats up?" as Xia Xi hides her hand behind her back. "I came to bring you your new car." He throws the car key to Xia Xi and she quickly catches it. "Wow, it's white." Xia Xi walks around the car and examines it. "Thanks." "Drive carefully. I have to go to Beijing for a week, so if anything just call my assistant." "Okay, have a safe trip," as Xia Xi waves goodbye. Xia Xi got inside the driver's seat and drove home. Once, Xia Xi was home, she went straight to take a shower. After taking a shower, she took her first aid box and plans to change the bandages. "Ehhh, she squinted her eyes while taking off the bandages. Suddenly the doorbell rings. "Coming," as she finished unwrapping it and ran to the door. "Why are you here? I don't think I have anything you need here," as Xia Xi looks at Lei Kai Xuan.
Lei Kai Xuan looked down and saw her hand red with blisters. "I came to see if you're okay." Xia Xi quickly hides her hand behind, "I'm fine. Thanks for asking and if there's nothing else, I have to rest." As Xia Xi was about to close the door, Lei Kai Xuan stopped her. "What are you doing?" as Xia Xi questions him. He took her hand and walked right in the house. "If you don't fix this right now, then your hand will become no use anymore." Xia Xi stares at him while he takes out some medications and puts it on her hand. "Why are you acting so nice right now?" Lei looks up at her, "I don't want to work with someone when she can't even write and draw." Xia Xi shifts her hand away from him, "So what if I can't draw? I don't need your help." Lei took her hand back and finished applying the medications. "If you can't draw, then who will help your grandmother?" Xia Xi looks at him, "How does he know. But he's right though, I have to do this in order to keep my spot," as she thought to herself.
"Okay, done. Make sure not to wet it with water." Xia Xi nods her head. "Thank you." Lei Kai Xuan looks down at her table, and sees a stack of crumpled papers. "What are you trying to do here? Are you building a landfill here?" Xia Xi looks down and quickly tries to clean it up. "Uhh, no. I was just trying to think of some ideas, but I couldn't think of anything. And I have to give in the first draft tomorrow." Lei Kai Xuan took her crumpled papers and opened it one by one. "Your sketch is missing something," as he examines it. "What is it missing," as Xia Xi moves closer to see.
"Look at this…." Lei Kai Xuan sat there patiently telling what Xia Xi is missing and how she should improve.
Two hours later, Xia Xi starts fixing what Lei Kai Xuan told her. Lei Kai Xuan sits next to her and guides her on what she has to do. Since Xia Xi's hand was injured, it's taking slower than usual.
After working for three hours, Xia Xi fell asleep. Lei Kai Xuan on the other hand helped her finish it.
It is already 12:30am and Lei Kai Xuan finished the last bit of the sketch. He looks over at Xia Xi who is still sleeping. He picks up her and carries her upstairs to her bedroom. Once he puts her on the bed, he notices the music box on her nightstand. "She still has this?" He picks it up and sees that it was broken, and inside there's a key. He places it back and walks out the room. As he was about to head down, he saw a room all the way at the end. He curiously walked to it and tried to open it, but it's lock. "What's inside?" as he wonders. Then he realized the key in the music box. "I shouldn't open it. It might be something that she wants to keep private," as he thought to himself. This time when he was about to go downstairs, he saw something on the wall inside Xia Xi's room. He walked in and saw the sketch that Xia Xi framed up. He went up to look closer and he couldn't believe what he saw.
