What is this?
Once Xia Xi arrived home, she saw the lights open inside. She puts her bag in front of her and slowly unlocks the door.
"Grandmother? Han Chen?" Xia Xi walked in and saw them sitting on the couch waiting for her.
"What brings you guys here today?" as she closed the door and smiled at him.
Her grandmother looks at her and stares at her for a really long time. "Where did you go? Don't you know what time it is already?" "Ahh, about that. I was talking to Lei Kai Xuan about the project and he decided not to change partners." "Oh really? What did you say to convince him." She took a seat next to her grandmother, "Of course my amazing work. I showed him what he needed and without me, he wouldn't get what he wanted." Chairwoman Xia looks at her doubtfully. "You don't believe me grandma? I could call him if you want." Chairwoman Xia took her hands, "I believe you, but just make sure not to cause any further trouble. The new release of the collection will be in 2 months. So, make sure to work with him and behave nicely." Xia Xi nods her head and her grandmother gets up to leave.
"Han Chen, I want you to get a car for Xia Xi. A vice President can't go to work without a car." Han Chen said yes and left with Chairwoman Xia.
Xia Xi took a shower and went to the kitchen to cook some food. "What is there to eat?" as she talks to herself. She went through the refrigerator and cabinets, but she couldn't find anything. "Ughhh, why is there no food." Her stomachs start to growl again. "Stupid Lei Kai Xuan, made me waited so long. I should've asked you to buy me food instead." She checks the clock on the wall and it's 12am already. "It's late now. No store would be open." She took out her phone and saw if any other store was open. "Ahhh, there you are." She grabbed her jacket, phone and wallet out the door. It was only a 10 minute walk, so she didn't call a cab.
Ten minutes later, she arrived outside of the convenience store. "Good thing you open 24 hours," as Xia Xi saids it. She walked in and went to the ramen aisle. She took a cheese ramen and a can of soda. After she bought it, she decided to walk back home and eat it. While walking home, she heard a puppy barking. She stopped walking and heard where the sound was coming from. She went through the small alley and saw a small puppy outside a house. She bent down and took a closer look at it. "What happened to you? Where is your owner?" The puppy barks at her. "Are you lost?" She checked and found the puppy's leg had a cut. She looked around and didn't see anyone nearby. "I'm going to bring you home and heal you first. Then, I'll try to find your owner for you," she picked him up and brought him back home. She opens the door and drops her food at the corner and carries the puppy to the living room. She placed the puppy laying on the table and ran to get the first aid kit. After getting it, she took out the white rolled bandages and helped the puppy cover the wound. "All better. How are you feeling?" The puppy barked back at her and Xia Xi smiled at him.
Suddenly, the doorbell rings. "Who is it this late?" as Xia Xi gets up and walks up to open the door. "Why are you here?" as she looks up at Lei Kai Xuan who was standing in front of her. He looked through the door and saw his puppy on the table. He pushed Xia Xi to the side and walked straight in. "Hey, you didn't even answer me. You know how rude you are. Walking inside without asking?" Lei Kai Xuan picks up his puppy and starts walking back out. "The puppy is yours?" Xia Xi asked him. "Can't you see?" as Lei Kai Xuan said. "How could you leave your puppy out like that. Don't you know how dangerous that can't be?" Xia Xi raised her voice at him. He stopped and looked at her, "I don't need you to tell me what to do." He walked out and left, leaving Xia Xi standing there dumbfounded, "Wow, did he just say that," as Xia Xi used her hand to fan herself. "This guy is getting more rude and ridiculous each time I see him," as Xia Xi closed the door and took the ramen to the kitchen.
The next morning, Xia Xi's alarm rang. She rolled around and finally got up. She went to brush her teeth and got dressed. "What breakfast should I get? Should I get something to poison him?" as Xia Xi laughed out loud. "Wait I can't. I still have to do this project with him." Xia Xi called the cab and while waiting for the cab, she sat there thinking about what kind of food he might like. "A picky person like him must be very picky about everything." as Xia Xi thought. Suddenly, the cab came and she walked out of her house. "Where are we going to miss?" Xia Xi thought about it for a while, "The Lei's Group please." Thirty minutes later, she gets out of the cab and walks to the cafe that's near the company.
While waiting in line, Xia Xi looks at the menu to see what she should get. "Why is it so hard? He should've just told me what he wants."
"Next?" The barista calls her, but Xia Xi was busy thinking. "Excuse me, are you buying or not?" the person behind tapped on her. "Oh, sorry." Xia Xi looked at the menu once last time and then ordered the food.
Ten minutes later and she finally got the food. She quickly got it and used the pass that Lei Kai Xuan gave her to go up the 30th floor. "Hurry!" as she kept checking her watch. The elevator finally got to floor 30 and Xia Xi went out. "I'm here to bring breakfast to Mr. Lei," as she catches her breath and holds the breakfast in her other hand. "Mr.Lei says that it passes the time that you're supposed to bring." "Can't you see that I was hurrying up already. Where is he? I'm going in and talking to him." Xia Xi turned around and walked straight to Lei Kai Xuan's room. "Wait, Miss. Xia…" Before the secretary could finish talking, Xia Xi already opened the door.
Inside, Xia Xi could see the same woman from that night sitting on Lei Kai Xuan's lap. "Sorry, Mr. Lei I couldn't stop her." Lei Kai Xuan gave a hand signal for the secretary to leave. Xia Xi ignores that woman and places breakfast on the table. "Here's your breakfast," as she lays it out for him. Lei Kai Xuan pushed that woman off him and went to Xia Xi. As he examines the breakfast, the woman walks up to him also. "I got your breakfast, so now can you work with me?" Xia Xi looks at him with an annoying face. "I don't like my sandwich with tomatoes in it and I drink hot americano and not cold americano." After saying that, Xia Xi could feel her face heating up and her brain about to burst. "How would I know what you like and don't like," as she calmly protested. "Go buy it again." Lei Kai Xuan puts his hand around the woman's waist and looks at her. This irritated Xia Xi more, "LEI KAI XUAN YOU SCUMBAG, JERK," she wanted to say that to him but she managed to hold it in. "What are you waiting for. You have only 10 minute." Xia Xi looks at the time and quickly runs back and gets it.
"Can I have meal #1 with no tomatoes and a cup of hot americano."
After five minutes, she got her food and ran back to the building. She checks her watch and only has 2 minutes left. She quickly presses the elevator to go up.
"Here's your sandwich with no tomatoes and a cup of hot americano," as she wipes her face and catches her breath. Lei Kai Xuan checks it and touches the cup of coffee. "It's cold already. Not hot enough." Xia Xi looked at him and gave him a stare. "I don't mind changing partners." Xia Xi picks up her leg and starts running back to the cafe. "Can I get a cup of EXTREME hot americano."
Three minutes later, Xia Xi got back to the office and put the cup of coffee down at the table. "This time it's very hot?" Xia Xi looks at Lei Kai Xuan, who is sitting on the chair with the woman standing next to him. The woman walks over to Xia Xi and takes the coffee from her. "Uhmm, it is hot enough," and purposely slips the coffee on Xia Xi's hands. "Ouchhh," as Xia Xi screamed. "Oops sorry, it was too hot and it slipped." Xia Xi looks at her angrily. Lei Kai Xuan hurriedly rushed to see what happened. "Are you okay?" as he lifts her hand to see. "I don't need your help." She slips her hand away from his touch. "Don't try to act nice and stuff. I've already bought your breakfast. I don't care if you like it or not anymore. I've already done my task, I'm going to get going." As she was about to head out the door, she looked at Lei Kai Xuan. "I don't care if you change partners or not anymore. I'm really done working with someone like you."
The moment Xia Xi leaves, Lei Kai Xuan turns to the woman. "What were you doing?" as he asked in an irritated voice. Bai Zhi stood a step back, "Why are you yelling at me now? I told you my hand slipped and I didn't mean it." Lei Kai Xuan is getting annoyed by her every move and every sound she makes. "GET OUT!!!" He screamed at her and Bai Zhi angrily walked out. Lei Kai Xuan took the breakfast that Xia Xi bought and threw it out the trash.
