Chapter 4: Chapter Four
You have to keep calm, Yannie. So what if you'll meet him? You met a handful of guys from the past. What's the difference?
After our conversation yesterday, which I agreed to meeting him today after my class, I couldn't stop thinking about what will happen when he finally see me?
Okay. A little visual of what I really looked like.
I have mid length wavy dark brown hair, I have Asian eyes because my Dad is half Chinese, half American, I have fair skin and I'm kinda chubby from eating all the food my mom and my grandma used to make at home.
Okay back to regular programming.
I decided to just go with the flow. Whatever will happen later I'm just going to accept that I'll just have coffee all by myself. Whatever!
During my last class I received a text from an unregistered number.
"Hey Yannie! I'm on the way to St. John's, let me know when your class finishes. See you. -Gelo" Oh, right. He asked for my number so he could text me when he's on the way to my school and where he is so I don't have to connect to the WiFi.
"Ok will text you later. See you." I sent the text and focused on the lecture.
Really, Yannie? Nothing from the lecture even entered your brain. I'm relieved the professor didn't call me when he asked questions.
After an hour of a boring lecture, the bell rang signaling the end of the classes for the day. I hurriedly stuffed my book and my iPad inside my bag and raced out of the classroom, to the hall and finally outside the campus.
I texted Gelo that I was outside the campus and he replied with okay. After a few minutes, a Gun Metallic Nissan GT-R stopped in front of me and a guy who looked like Gelo said hello and said that I hop in. I thought that he has the wrong person so I ignored him and texted Gelo asking him where he is. After sending the text, my phone rang and it was Gelo calling. I answered.
"Yannie. You have to get inside. Stop ignoring me. Haha!"
I looked again at the guy and saw that he's laughing and calling me.
"Yannie, get inside!"
I hang up the phone and opened the door of his car and hopped inside. He still hasn't stopped laughing so I awkwardly said sorry because I thought he's just mistaken me with another person.
"So where do you want to go?" He asked.
"Uhm, I'm kinda hungry, how about you?"
"I'm hungry too. How about we have lunch first and then coffee?"
"That sounds good."
I was just silent while he's driving. I kept glancing at him from my peripheral vision and saw that he's silently singing while his eyes are focused on the road.
I didn't expect Gelo would still push through after seeing me. I though he'll just drive off and then leave me hanging. GHOST ME. Or whatever it's called but he didn't.. and I felt butterflies inside my stomach.
