Chapter 8: Book 1:Chapter 8: Xan City
During this fast few days she never revealed her name it gives Regal a weird feeling but he never pursued to ask. Even if they got closer a little bit it's still an acquaintance.
During the day Regal will do the daily quest very early in the morning tho he's struggling he still overcome this, because he's very suspicious about the so called 'Surviving for 24 hours' as a punishment. And after he has done the quest he will go for hunting beast to eat and share with his companion.
Traveling on the rest of the day and resting at night because it's too risky as per his dad's teaching, and also according to her companion.
This goes on for the rest of the week, but other that asking for information and a few useful chat, he never interacted with the girl and do their own ways at their idle time.

While sitting at a secluded cave leaning on the wall he checked his status, because as his pride as a man. He never let the girl hunt for him even tho she's very very strong.

While looking at his status he still doesn't know where to put the stats and unsure of what's the most important stats that will soon help him.
But although he still felt the intensity of the quest (The Path to Invincibility 7 of 100 days). Whether his stats got he gets stronger and much sharper also in intelligence it also affects his processing things much faster.
He leveled up during this past hunt, tho the more he hunts the same monster as his level rise the exp they gave lessened significantly. And also he got another info about the system from the cold looking lady the bestiary section, where it records the beast that he killed and there abilities which is pretty useful, but how this mysterious things work she doesn't also know.

After a few more days of walking a total of 10 days they finally arrive at the city called
The city is called Xan city, the day they arrive there Regal is shocked. Because the city is different from what he imagined.
It isn't some grand majestic city like some cultivator from the novel that he read from his past time at his father's book collection. It's more modern like, there's a lot of building transportation are flying cars not horses.
But if one look closely at the bustling city there are still unicorns, majestic pegasus, other mount of beast like creature that he read from his fathers book. And it looks quite the same at the picture of those books.
"This city is bustling, so not all the city is built of pagoda and pavilions like I imagined. And there's no grand majestic castle like I envision." He mumbled.
At the city entrance along with the lady. The moment that Regal will enter the city he got blocked by the two guards with their spear crossed at the entrance.
"Halt! What's your business here?" One of the guard loudly said.
"I'm just gonna enter the city, what are you yelling so loud for?" Regal spoke to the guard that shouted earlier.
"Insolent! A country bumpkin like you? Wanna enter the city? Absurd! Look at yourself wearing shabby clothes like a beggar of some sort" Snort. Said the guard.
The when the goddess heard this she furrowed his willowy eyebrow and then frowned.
At this moment one of the guards notice the girl and her demeanor like an heir of one of the famous clan, or from one of the famous guild.
"Hi ms. may I ask what brings a beautiful lady on our city?" The other guard asked.
"Do I need a reason to enter the city? Is this city yours? Does the City Lord know what you're doing?" Getting Irritated she spoke coldly releasing some of her aura. When the guard so that above her head the Level shows '???' It means the level of the girl is a lot higher than them, way beyond their scope.
When Regal saw this he wanna talk and open his mouth but decided to shut it again, the guard ain't wrong that he doesn't know anything about the city. He's pretty much ignorant at everything outside. If it wasn't for the lady that's accompanying him he'll be totally ignorant even about the system itself.
One of the guards hastily reply. "Oh no please pardon my impertinence young lady, my companion was just curious and not thinking sometimes" When he saw the situation getting escalated and if they offend this powerful young miss, even if she killed her there will be no justice for both of them base on the young ms. power alone.
Snort. Then the lady walked in at this moment Regal was gonna follow but the guards still blocked his path gonna vent their frustration on this young man with shabby clothes, also the young man is devilishly handsome that made them jealous and annoyed.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you letting me in! Are you making trouble on purpose?" Getting annoyed he shouted. Both of the guards are stunned but they grinned maliciously. Because they can see what level Regal above his head says 5, a total newbie recently awakened. Both of the guards level are 25 quite good for a guard just to welcome guest. Because no one really make a ruckus on the city, the Lord of Xan city himself is strong so no one will make trouble or they will be executed at the city.
"Do you want to die? He's my companion, are you trying to pick trouble? Do you believe if I kill you both you will have a chance to utter a scream?" The lady spoke icily.
The guards were both startled and look at the Regal in a new light and they lowered their heads.
"We're sorry we don't know that this young man, is young ms. companion." Both of them said.
"This is my last warning not all that is entering here is as benevolent as me, don't abuse your position. Tbh your position is shit itself what's there to be proud about? If he purposefully hidden his level and equipment you will die without knowing." She said and walked forward after looking a glance at Regal as some sort of cue to follow.
"We thank young miss for sparing our lives and guidance" Both of the guards sweat that they just realized that not all can be judged by the outside, there are some masters or adventurers who purposefully hid their level and identity because of a powerful enemy. For powerful adventurers having an enemy of a big guild isn't a rare thing. Because most of the guild if they saw talent and recruited that talent they will nurture them to be one of their experts. If not they will try to eliminate of the possible future threat that he/she might grow or join other powers.
A lot of adventurers who has confidence on themselves don't want to rely on backer so they won't be tied. And also so that they can go and explore at different territory because once they joined some power, the place they can go to will be limited because of the special identity of some power they might get hunted. Or wander at the enemy that has the jurisdiction of that place.
But some talents join big family, or big clans so they can have position authority to further strengthen themselves or have someone under their command and getting strong gets much easier.
