Getting Into Trouble[4]
Carissa came out of the office to see Dyosa who has been waiting for them.
"How was it? I heard that you are going to be expelled" curious
"Yeah, Mrs Reyes told the principal to expel me" pretending to be sad, she decided to play along
"What! Do you mean I wasted my time and saliva to explain things to that old woman? This is so unfair!" she raged angrily
"I don't want to be at home" she began to cry
"Hush now" she hugged her and patted her head slowly and Carissa placed her head on her shoulder
She raised her head and wiped away her tears
"But..... The principal did not eventually expelled me but Sam was expelled instead" she began to laugh
"What! You little brat. You tricked me" she pretended to be angry.
Ever since they were young, Carissa has always been the one getting into troubles and sometimes, Dyosa will cover up for her. Because of the trouble Carissa do cause, she was banned from going out to play. Carissa was angry at her mom but she never cared because her and Dyosa will sneak out of the house to play.
"Hahaha, that was actually fun" she said and began to laugh
"Oh really, fun Huh? I heard we are going to eat at the resturant today and I promise I will tell tita not to tag you along" she pretended as of she was going to Elvira
"Hahaha, don't do that. You can punish me but not with this" she pulled her back
"So you so much love food Huh? " she pinched her cheeks
"Are you just meeting me?"
"Haha"
"So tell me, sam was expelled"
"Yeah"
"Thank God, he won't have bother you anymore"
Elvira came out of the office.
"I will be heading back to work now"
"Tita, Sam has been expelled right?"
"Yeah, he got what he deserves"
She remembered something and turned to the two, "Can you two come to the resturant after school so you can help us"
"Yes,we will"
"Okay, you guys should leave now. You still have classes now"
"Yes, mom"
"Remember not to get into any fight, okay" she reminded Carissa
"Okay, I won't nay"
Carissa and Dyosa ran to their class while Elvira watch them leave then she turned and left.
Mrs Reyes was so mad at the school and it's judgement. It will be a disgrace to her family if the society finds out that her son has been expelled from school. She immediately got him an admission to another school
At twapakto restaurant.
After Elvira left the school, she took a cab to the resturant. She already took permission from the owner of the resturant that she will come late for work when the principal called her in the morning. The owner of the resturant is a well respected man in the society. He is nice and kind hearted which makes people come to his resturant. She entered the kitchen and changed into the waiter's dress. She made her hair to a bun.
"Elvira, how is it?" Isabelle has been waiting for Elvira to come so she can gist her what happened
"Sam has been expelled and my daughter of course she is going to continue schooling" she laughed
"Hahaha, I need the full details" she pinched Elvira shoulder.
Even though they are not young anymore, they still behave like babies. Elvira never wanted to miss any single update so Elvira had to tell her everything thing.
"It's a good thing her son got expelled" she sighed
"And who does she think she is to call you a mistress. Husband snatcher!" she was furious
Elvira face darkened when she heard that. Ever since she got to Binondo, she has never dated any man. Back then, she promised herself that no one aside from her husband will have her heart. Isabelle saw that Elvira was lost in thought so she said....
"I am going to their mansion ask that woman why she called you a mistress. She sure got some nerves" she pulled her apron and walked out of the kitchen. Before she could get out, Elvira pull her back.
"Have you gone mad? You are going there to stir up trouble"
"So now you are anger at me? I was only trying to help you" she now looks like she is the wrong person
"No, don't get me wrong. I mean.... "
Isabelle immediately cut her off, "Don't worry, just get back to work" she immediately turn and left
Elvira knew her friend was not mad at her, she is just putting on an act. She walked to serve the man at the table.
"What do you want sir" she gave him the menu. He took it and looked at it two or three times before giving her orders. He looks like he just came for fun and does not want to eat.
"Give me duck roast, spicy beef noodles and leche flan" he returned the menu to her. He did not raise his head to look at her while talking to her. She left and came back with the food.
"Here sir"she placed the food in front of him. He did not raise his head but from the looks of it, he is 25 inches tall and he wore a black jacket, underneath, he wore a orange shirt with a black pant.
After some minutes.
"Waiter, my bill please"
Elvira walked to him with his bill, "Your bill is 1500 pesos"
He removed his wallet and brought out 2000 pesos and gave it to her
"Sir this is your change" he looked up to see a beautiful woman with a fair complexion
"You can keep the change"
"Thank you sir" she smiled
"Don't call me sir. My name is Marco" he stood up and extended his hand. She stared at him for five seconds before extending her hand
"Elvira"
"Wow, what a beautiful name. Elvira"
"Thank you sir" she smiled at him
"Marco" he corrected
"Sorry, thank you Marco"
"So...will you be free tomorrow's night. I want to get to know you better"
She removed her hand from his, "Am sorry Marco but I will be busy tomorrow"
"We can reschedule it"
"I don't have time"
"If you have time just call me" he smiled and dropped his business card on the table.
"I don't have time" she turned and left.
Marco put his hand in his pocket and curled his lips into a smile.
"She is not bad" he turned and left
This is not the first time Elvira is turning a man down. She will always tell them 'I DONT HAVE TIME'. Her mother is afraid that she might grow old without getting married but she never discussed it with her. After what she said to her the last time when she discussed it with her, she was furious.
To Elvira, no one can be protect her like her husband, no one can love her like her husband, no one can care about her like her husband, no one can love Carissa like her husband and mostly no one can be like her husband.
Later at night at Alvardo street, Binondo.
Elvira and her daughter got home late at night because they had so many customers to attend to. Elvira walked into her room to change while Carissa stayed with her grandma to gist her.
"Hahaha, they deserve it" she hugged her granddaughter.
Carissa always enjoy every moment she spend with her grandma. Ms belen loved her granddaughter so much,after the incident that happened at Novaliches, she promised to never live her daughter and granddaughter.
Elvira came out of the room dressed in a brown T shirt and a buttered coloured short.
"What are you guys talking about?"
"My granddaughter was just telling me what happened today" she smiled
"Yeah, so do we have food to eat because am hungry now" she rubbed her tummy
"Me too lola"
"I prepared your favorite Apo, Kare kare" she pinched her cheeks slowly
"Yippee! Let me go and change" she ran to her room and change.
Elvira went to the kitchen and brought the food to the dining.
Mrs belen knew Carissa best food was Kare Kare so she cooked it for her. Ever since her father died, she made Kare Kare her best food because that was her father's best food, that way she will remember her father. The food might not taste like her father's but she will still eat it as long as it is Kare Kare.
After dinner, they went to bed.
Next morning was Saturday.
Elvira woke up and saw that the house has been swept and cleaned. She went to the laundry, the clothes has been washed.
"Carissa" she called
"Yes nay"
"Oh Dyosa, you are here too" she noticed Dyosa who was behind Carissa
"Yes tita" she smiled
"Why did you guys wake up early to clean the house" she asked
"Nay, it Saturday remember" she reminded her
"I know, but you don't wake up too early to do house chores.
Carissa will do the house chores immediately she wakes up but today was different, she woke up too too early.
"Em..... Nay, I want to ask you if I can go to my friends birthday party later at night"
"So that's why the both of you woke up so early to do the house chores"
"Tita please"
"No, I won't allow you two to go" she refused
"Nay please" she pleaded
"Elvira allow this children to go out. They are not kids anymore. They are grown up already" Ms belen spoke from the back stage
"But mama..."
"I know you are protecting them but I think they are grown up already so just let them have fun" she cut in
"But If they misbehave, they won't go out again" she said unwillingly
"Thank you lola" they said at the same time and hugged Ms belen
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Carissa ran to the door to open it. The whole family was dumbfounded by what they saw.
"What are you doing here?"
