Chapter 8: Training
The middle-aged man was stunned at his learning speed. He didn't think that Kira would learn all of this in just a single night. If other were to see this they would think that Kira was a monster.
'Unfortunately, you only practice right now, if...' He sighed regretfully. If Kira practice when he was still a child, then he was sure that Kira was a powerful young man right now. He could compare to the genius of this country, no, maybe stronger.
"This feels great..." Kira slowly opened his eyes. He looked at his body and felt the changes. He could now use the mana to attack the ghost type creature. He don't need to be afraid when he met a ghost.
He looked at the middle-aged man. He still don't know his name. He once asked it but he only said that it doesn't matter.
"What's are your name teacher?" Kira still asked. He called him teacher because he felt that was right. The middle-aged man teach him some skills.
The middle-aged man shook his head and said, "Your power level is at the lowest right now. Keep training and you will eventually know who am I."
He then patted Kira's head, "Good, you have a great talent just like my other disciple."
"You have other disciple?" Kira asked.
"Yeah. He's also living here in this city and in this town." The middle-aged man nodded his head.
"Hmm..." Kira was curious who's the disciple of this man. He felt that this man was no ordinary power user. He guess that this man was a powerful man that everyone know.
It's always like that right? The transmigrator will met a low profile powerful being and would discover his talent. Well, it's always like that when he read those novels.
"Okay, now let me see your combat ability." The middle-aged man said.
Kira looked at the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man nodded at him and said, "Come! Attack me!"
Kira looked at the middle-aged man as he clenched his fist tightly. He then charged at him and quickly throw a punch.
Bang!
The middle-aged man blocked Kira's punch easily. He flipped his hand and used the back of his palm to slapped Kira's face.
Pak!
"Argh!" Kira groaned in pain. He gritted his teeth and once again charged at the middle-aged man.
Pak! Pak! Pak!
"You have some posture and I can see that you're experienced in street fight." The middle-aged man said.
Kira listened to the middle-aged man's words as he throw punches at him.
Swoosh!! Swoosh!!
The middle-aged man avoided his punches easily. He opened his mouth and said, "Don't expect the fight between power user is the same as street fight."
Kira took a distance and quickly picked up a branch of tree.
"This will do for now." He said as he clenched his fingers around the branch.
The middle-aged man looked at him curiously. He wanted to see what's he gonna do with that stick.
Kira fixed his posture and quickly attacked the middle-aged man.
Swoosh!! Swoosh!!
The middle-aged man was quite surprised. He opened his mouth while avoiding the stick, "I didn't know that you have some knowledge about swordsmanship but... It's still at the level of apprentice."
There's four levels of Swordsman in this world; the Sword Apprentice, Swordmaster, Great Swordmaster, and Sword Sage. In the legend there's a realm above the Sword Sage and that's the Sword Saint. In this realm, a person could even slice a mountain into two. But, there's no Sword Saint in this era or even in the past era. People only treated this realm as myth as no one reach it. Though, the Sword Saint was in written in books and said that there's people from ancient times that reach this realm.
Currently, the strongest Swordsman in the world was at the level of Great Swordmaster.
"Alright, let me teach you some skills." The middle-aged man said as a sword made of light formed in his palm. "You've already learned about the mana, right? Use it to increase the power of your attack! Use it to strengthen your weapon!"
Kira was startled when he saw this. He then saw the middle-aged man stepped forward and slashed the light sword at him.

After two hours of training, Kira took a break.
He sat down in the corner while gasping. He felt the difference between him and the middle-aged man was too large. He didn't feel depressed at all. In fact, he was quite excited thinking about the future.
This was just the first day and he still had a lot to learn.
Kira wanted to see the middle-aged man's true powers.
A battle between powerful person. He only saw this in anime or manga. He wanted to see it in person.
The middle-aged man walked in front of him and asked, "Are you okay?"
Kira nodded his head. He only felt his muscle aching slightly. He could endure it.
"You've already grasp the mana. You finally step forward in our world. You already become a person in our world." The middle-aged man sat in front of him. "In the ordinary people's world you're superhuman but in supernatural world you're currently a regular person with ordinary powers."
Kira listened to his words. He know that his strength was still far from the regular person of supernatural world. His power level hover between the level of ordinary person and regular person from supernatural world.
That was just his guess but, in fact, the middle-aged know that Kira could fight some weak power user. Kira's physical strength was stronger than some of the apprentice mage. This was Kira's advantage.
"There's many types of power user..."
The middle-aged man explained the power user in the world.
There's people who awakened a power as soon as they made a contact with mana. They gained an ability to control flame, water, wind, lightning, etc. This people were called Esper.
Kira could slightly control the mana but he doesn't feel that he gained an ability. It only means that he's not an esper.
For those people who hadn't awaken any type of ability they chose to study magic or practice martial arts.
The people who study of magic pursued to control mana and transform it into different phenomenon using magic circle. They fight by constructing magic circle to defeat their enemies. They were called Mage or Magician.
There's also people who used the power of words to command the mana. They used chant to create a phenomenon.
There's people who went in different path. They train their body to the limit and practice martial arts. They fought their enemies using different weapons or bare knuckles. Swordsman was one of this.
'Maybe, I'm an Esper and awakened the ability of system as soon as I transmigrated into this body.' Kira thought as he rubbed his chin. He could only guess as he doesn't have any clue right now.
"If you want to continue training just comeback here." The middle-aged man said to him.
"Yeah..." Kira was speechless as he saw the middle-aged man disappeared in front of him. Then a pouch fell in front of him.
He picked it up and heard a voice behind his ears.
"This is my gift to you."
He know that the middle-aged man left this to him. It must be something that will help him increase his strength rapidly.
He sighed and said, "I guess I'll just rest here for now."
He learned many things this day and it was due to that no name middle-aged man.
He looked at the changes in his stats.

Kira learned two skills this time. He hadn't thought that he would gained a skills easily. He took him two days to gained the skill «Sword Mastery» and it only took a few hours to gained two new skills.
He also gained a new attribute called Mana. It was a special energy that he could use when he fought a battle. The only problem was that it's only ten. He could consumed it in just a few seconds. He need to used it wisely.
He also gained 0.3% of proficiency in this night. Although it wasn't much but it still enhance his strength.
He looked at his skills.

[Essence Conversion (Level Max): Is a skill that allows the user to convert various types of energy into Essence Point.]
[Sword Mastery (Level 1): A passive skill that allows the user handle the sword easily. It increase the users damage when using a sword.]
[Mana Gathering (Level 1): A meditation skill that increases the users mana capacity. Gain 2 mana every hours of meditation.]
[Mana Manipulation (Level 1): An active skill that allows the user to control the mana. Consumed mana when use.]
Kira read all the description of his skills. All of his skill were level 1 except the «Mana Conversion» skill. He looked at his «Sword Mastery» skill and remember what the middle-aged man said.
He guess that a level 1 «Sword Mastery» was the Apprentice level that the middle-aged talked about. The level 2 was the Swordmaster level.
It seems that he will need a lot of time to increase its level.
Although, his strength was increasing he still don't know how to gain Essence Point. If he learned this then his growth rate would increase to an unbelievable speed. He would be able to use training ground, weapon shop, pill shop, and skill shop.
