Chapter 121: ch 119
Alexander:"That's it? I tell you I am your father who you have never met and that is all you have to say? Are you sure that there isn't anything else might want to say or ask me?"
Me:"My mothers might want to see you? Then again I haven't spoken to her in years I should probably get around to seeing if she is still alive"
Alexander:"Really no other reaction just nothing at all aren't you curious as to why I was gone so long?"
Me:"Nope"
Alexander:"Aren't you angry or sad that I wasn't there?"
Me:"Would change anything if I was?"
Alexander:"How about being happy to see me then?"
Me:"I don't get what you are looking for what exactly were you expecting?"
Alexander became stunned by the whole situation as he never expected complete indifference to his first meeting of his son.
Alexander:"Are you really my son?"
Me:"You are the one whom claimed to be my father should you really be asking me?
Alexander:"What I mean is why are you so disinterested in the concept of family or do you not understand it?"
Me:"No I understand it what I don't understand is why you are trying to make this into a thing you were gone now you are back no big deal right?"
I left him With his mouth hanging open trying to process everything I just said as I had no time to deal with melodramatic bullshit Alexander was trying to push on me I needed to begin pushing into the empire securing all the conflict zones that haven't been successfully tamed by the titan army yet and reinforcing and resupplying the already captured areas.
During these two and half weeks we have encountered minor pockets of resistance every so often mostly remnants of the gods faction trying to reestablish themselves the only god worshipers that were allowed to thrive in our controlled areas were the priestesses of Princess Margaret but I was no slouch in enforcement of titan rule as symbols of titans were placed anywhere in a show of supremacy over all newly acquired territory those that refused to acknowledge my rule were quickly turned enslaved and transformed into living examples of what would happen to those that dare oppose.
One thing has been bothering me as we expanded our rule and that were the creation of titan temples under normal circumstances I would not be bothered by it but it all the temples seem to have a well established doctrine and texts that neither I or Anastasia have written or agreed upon the bigger underlying issue is that Anastasia recognizes most of the texts themselves which could mean that the titans of ancient times are returning and using my pro titan agenda to their advantage which could be a problem.
