Chapter 14: Living weapon Zera
I spent a week gathering mana crystals and filling them for the living weapon. Mana crystals were used as storages for mana and cand be put into weaponry to enhance enchantments. The volcano was filled with all sorts of materials and had plenty of mana crystals for me to use.
I woke up early today to get an early start on the living weapon. The living weapon is what I am calling it but it's more like I'm making a being with metal. I was going to create a weapon with thought and one that could take any shape I desired. For this I knew I needed a massive amount of eternium and mana.
The process of creating this weapon was not heating the metal and hammering it into a desired shape but using mana to pull the metal together and change it into what I wanted. This process needed intense focus and a constant clear thought of what is to be created. The slightest mistake will cause it to fail and I would be forced to start over.
I told Kota and Charlotte I was going to create a weapon and to not look for me as it might take a few days. I walked to the shop and pulled out all of the eternium ingots from my inventory placing them together. After settling myself and preparing the mana crystals I started to pour mana into the ingots while slowly changing it into the living weapon. It was slow and I failed 3 times before just letting my mana fuse with my thoughts and let go of control. I lost track of time and only awoke from my daze when my mana was cut off.
I blinked and looked at where the eternium was to find nothing. As I was wondering what could have gone wrong with the process a voice called out.
"Father, I believe you accomplished your goal of creating me correct? Is there something wrong with me?"
"Father? Wait, who are you, how are you speaking to me?"
"Father you created me and shared your memories and knowledge with me. When you created me your mana fused with me and we can communicate whenever you wish."
"So you are the living weapon?"
"Yes father. I am what you aimed to created."
"Where are you? Can you show yourself?"
A small girl with black hair and eyes that looked like a starry sky appeared in front of me. I just shook my head and sighed.
"Why are you naked?"
She just tilted her head "I don't see the need in clothing. Should I wear clothes?"
"Yes. Always wear clothes."
A plain black dress appeared on her in a flash.
"Do you have a name?"
"No ususally the parent names their child right?"
"Ok so do you have a name you like?"
"Yes. A name you give me is the one I will like most."
"*sigh* How about Zera for new beginning?"
"I love it! Thank you father. Zera will do her best for you."
'She is just like a child getting a new toy.'
"I'd like to test your abilities Zera."
"Of course father. Use me any way you wish!"
"Please never say that again."
I practiced with zera for over 6 hours before deciding to go back to the inn. Zeras abilities surprised me as she could change into any form I wanted her to not just weapons. She could also split apart into many different weapons or many of the same. She was covering my skelatal arm making it look like a normal prosthetic when we were walking back as I didn't want to attract attention. When we got to the inn I found out I had been gone for four days.
