Chapter 11: Team Combat
"I wouldn't have made both of you if I didn't like you!" Haze wiped the sweat off his head before he pointed up the stairs. "However, let's go earn some more god credits in <combat mode>. There was a <team combat mode>, right?"
"Yes, but if you lose your opponents will have a video of all your gods." Zack commented as he looked at himself in the mirror. "I don't know if you want thousands of [god smiths] to see how horrible I was created. If you only had one more minute, I wouldn't be cursed for an eternity."
"I think you came out really well." Lapis smiled as she radiated a warmth that was completely missing from Zack's face. "You... you're like a fierce blade that can cut through the nice sky."
"You're wrong, but cute." Zack seemed even more depressed the more Lapis happiness increased and her cheek bones raised on her face. "I am now ready to fight in team combat mode."
"You character sure develops fast." Haze sighed and took some time to get in front of his laptop, bringing snacks to his room, and his new cellphone. "Let's sit down and watch a replay of [Eternal Fantasy] in team mode. It seems he lost in the team combat mode since we last versed him."
"People like him are in the bottom of the barrel." Rail said as she shook her head. "If he loses ten matches in a row, he'll also be taken out of the <god smith> program. The company wants to make sure that their <god smiths> are constantly getting stronger."
"What do you mean get taken out of the program?" Haze said with a ridiculing stare at the innocent looking Lolita. "Do they kill him like they do if you fail a mission?"
"He has to die, or else a new person on his planet can't get selected. Pass me the remote and the chips." Zack smiled and took the chips from Haze before he jumped in front of the television in Zack's bedroom. There was a drop down flat screen that was over his bed, and Zack started doing push ups as he turned to Burn that Witch.
Haze didn't understand why Zack had gotten so obsessed with Burn that Witch, but ignored him as he opened the [God Smith] Application.
"Let's see... <Team Combat>... Select opponent's replay, [Eternal Fantasy]"
Haze loaded the replay of [Eternal Fantasy] as Rail as normal sat on his lap.
Lapis gave Rail a cold stare and expressed discontent with a snarl before she sat down on the floor and put her head on Haze's leg. Haze had to focus, and ignored the shocks traveling up his leg as a warm expression appeared on his face.
'This.. this is really too perfect! All I have to do is not die and I can keep these beautiful girls!'
'Just last week... I was otaku that had a small apartment and now I already have a mansion with three beautiful girls and a Zack. I'm going to do everything in my power not to die, and to give these girls the kind of father figure they need.'
"Master... Can I sit on your lap after Rail is done?" Lapis gently shoved Rail in the back before Rail teleported away and came back with a knife. The two girls glared at each other before Haze blushed and the video started.
"We can work on who can sit on my lap at a later time. For now, let's just watch to see how [Eternal Fantasy] lost again..."
"She's heavier then me... I'm light and plump and easy to manhandle."
"She's an old girl in a young woman's body. I'm a teenager that's a school girl with a good pair of lips." Lapis replied to Rail as the two of them started to share looks burning with contempt and anger into each other's eyes.
"She is... she's just jealous that she gets sloppy seconds. I was on your lap first, father."
[The match between [Eternal Fantasy] and [Heaven's Child] is about to begin...]
[Amount of weekly replays left for team combat mode: 1]
"Ugh, they have limits on everything! What are they going to limit next?"
"Just watch..." Zack said as he got up and leaned forward. "[Ant Life] is an <attack> type god and the other two seem like they are <defense> based. [Eternal Fantasy] must have been concerned for his life when he got the <god smith> application. Hence, he now is going to struggle winning any matches."
[Eternal Fantasy] had three characters on his side of the field appear. One of which was [Ant Life] and two other female characters that were extremely beautiful called [Ginger] and [Lime]. They were wearing pink bikinis and had sword hilts wrapped around their thin shoulders down to their tiny waists.
His opponent [Heaven's Child] had three characters as well. They seemed much more practical and were three men that looked like soldiers. Their names were [Martial Jump], [Finisher] and [Martial Fall]. All of the characters seemed prepared to battle before a countdown appeared above the grass field.
The timer went down to zero and [Ant Life] began to duplicate himself constantly. He started to make a circle of doppelgangers around the two girls as his opponents soldiers started to transform.
One turned into a gigantic fox while the other two turned into a bear and a tiger.
It actually seemed at this moment that [Eternal Fantasy] had the advantage. Just because something was bigger didn't mean that it was the strongest choice.
However, that was before he saw the fox open its mouth and start to glow like a fire ball was about to be shot out.
The fire gathered in its mouth before the bear ran forward and charged into [Ant Life]. The bear's body disappeared and seemed to turn into oil before the fire ball from the foxs' mouth shot out and burst forward.
The flames touched against the oil in the air and instantly created a massive flame that shot up into the sky.
All the doppelgangers of [Ant Life] were instantly killed as the two remaining girls jumped through the fire with shields around their bodies. They were fast, and swung their katakana forward at the foxes head before the tiger opened its mouth and screamed. The girls instantly lost their shields and dropped to the floor before the fire seemed to spread towards them and travel up their bodies.
The face of the bear appeared in the midst of the oil and roared as the girls were set aflame.
"[Eternal Fantasy] has forfeited."
[According to the rules... you will no longer be allowed to face [Heaven's Child] for ten rounds. This is unless you send a request to [Heaven's Child] and he accepts the invitation]
"So, so cool! He has a bear that can turn into oil and move around? How the hell can you kill that thing?"
"It's actually sort of weak without that fox." Mace said as she rubbed Haze's shoulders. "You shouldn't worry about it for now. If you had someone that could freeze oil that fox and bear would become useless."
"Well, I don't know If I'll be alive for ten days let alone three hours..." Haze grimaced as he sent a challenge to [Eternal Fantasy]. "Let's hope we have the same luck against that--"
[Eternal Fantasy requested to use four gods instead of three. He send the message that he will only accept the challenge if you increase the amount of gods.]
"Accept it. I'll cut them all in half." Zack got up and stretched. "However, if we win, I demand to be upgraded first. It will be easier to watch Burn that Witch knowing that some effort was put into my creation."
"Fine! Only if you win! Ugh, by the way, do you guys know how to work together?"
"I love working with girls like Mace,' Lapis said as she rubbed her head against Haze's leg. "Maybe when this little girl grows up I can work with her too."
"Heh... We'll see who's more deadly, school girl... If I win, I get to take a shower first tonight..."
