"Maybe." Ilyan stared at her eyes, stuck at the couple on the screen who was reminding her of her own broken relationship. 

She let loose a frustrated growl, clenching her hand in a fist. "After what Ayden did to me, I am afraid that I won't be able to trust my heart with another man. I don't see myself capable of investing in another relationship… in another man." Confessing her raw feelings to Ilyan came as naturally as breathing to her. 

She might struggle if she sat to wonder when and how she grew so comfortable with him but he had slowly become the kind of her favorite friend. The one she did not hesitate to share anything with.
