Weakness and Fear

Discouraged. Useless. Weak. Frail. Incompetent. Those were the words that Timotheo described himself after another incident happened in Dave's mansion. He walked like a zombie on his way home. He felt so useless after not being able to do something. He felt dicouraged and weak to the point that he cursed himself why he was born like that.

After the incident, he got out of Dave's mansion without even telling Shyla and Dave that he was going home. Dave tried to follow him after checking Fate's condition but he was stopped by Shyla. She said that they should give him some space. Dave was a bit worried. That was why he asked some of his guards to look after Timotheo as he went home. And after giving it some thought, he also asked them to guard Timotheo's house for safety measure.

Upon arriving home, he went straight to his room. He shut the door thoughtlessly and sat behind it. He could not stop thinking about how weak he was. He remembered everything what happened that day. Fate's mother shot by a gunman. The musculine man that entered and destroyed Shyla's house. Fate's possesion that almost led to the death of Dave, Shyla and himself. He could not stand it anymore. He stood up and shouted.

"WAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

After venting his madness through that shout, he flung himself to the bed. He tried to sleep. He wanted to forget everything that happened that day through sleeping.

The wind that entered Timotheo's window gently made him sleep. The sound that it made sounded like a lullaby.

--

"Do you think it is really okay to leave him alone?" Dave asked.

"That's the best thing that we can do. I saw on his eyes such disappointment lately. And talking to him, I guess, would make things worse." Shyla answered.

Dave was still worried until now of Timotheo. He felt so uneasy of the current situation. But he also felt uneasy about what happened that day. In his front was Fate lying on the bed. He stared at her blankly as she slept.

"By the way, Dave. The phone that rang that interrupted Fate lately was yours, right?" Shyla asked.

"Yes. It is mine. Why do you ask?"

"I have been wondering why that call made Fate weak." Shyla said, puzzled.

"It was my father. I haven't asked him about the details but it looks like he used The Words."

"The Words? I see. No wonder the spirit left Fate's immediately."

They both stared at Fate. They were full of questions of who this girl in front of them was. And what she had to do with Timotheo and the prophecies.

--

In a dark empty room, two voices would be heard. The people in that room could be said to be having a conversation in secrecy.

"The reverends will be so disappointed at you, Athaliah." A man in a black americana said.

"What can I do? Those people knew how to use The Words from the Book of Life."

"I see. Your intervention to this plan is useless. But it thanks to you that we had some good information to relay to the reverends."

"What's my reward then, Judas Consta?" said Athaliah, clasping her hands like a kid ready to get her price.

"What? You failed your mission. Don't expect anything from me." Judas said.

He turned his back from Athaliah and walked away. As he got near to the door of the dark room, he felt an evil aura.

"Are you ready to die, Athaliah?" Judas Consta said, fiercely.

He turned to Athaliah and looked at her.

When Athaliah met Judas eyes, she thought it was already her death. She froze for a minute then tremble with fear. The eyes that were looking at her were the eyes of death. The eyes of the devil. They were so red that one could mistakingly think that the eyes were filled with blood.

"The next time you threaten me, make sure you have dug already your own grave." Judas said, walking out of the room.

When Judas was already out of the room, Athaliah sat on the floor to relax herself.

"That guy is as fearsome as ever. What are you plotting, Judas Consta? Why are you so eager to meddle to the plan of killing the Time Keeper?" said Athaliah to herself.
