Chapter 64: Blacksmith At The Town Of Ailreh

His wife just smiled at him after he said those words, she keeps smiling as Arden closes the door. His face can't be seen anymore after the door have been closed.

He stood there for a few second thinking about the smile his own wife had given to him and as a result; he smiled lightly.

Took him a while to get that out of his mind and finally making his way to the city to prepare for the hunt at the forest to find some cute cats to be his pet.

He was making his way to leave the castle and head to the city. He walked and walked, toward the city he goes.

On the way, the maid, butler and soldiers greeted him. He returned it with a light smile and didn't say anything after he gave them a smile.

Some of the soldiers even went as far as to ask him to join them to the pub and drink. Which he declined politely and then goes on his own way.

As he was on his way, on the corner of his eye, he quickly turns his attention to the cat and he could see a white cat with its back facing to him and about to enter the forest near the training yard for soldiers.

There is an urge inside of him, telling him to chase after that cat and not meet Louis at all. But that urge was defeated by his thought.

'If chase that cat now, with no experience at all, I wouldn't be able to catch it!' This thinking defeated his urge to chase after the cat and so, he continued on his way.

The thing he didn't know, after he has decided to find Louis first, the cat turned his view to him and became moody, somehow, being not chased after made the cat sad.

Arden continued his way to the city and not a minute after he left that cat alone. A thought came to his mind, 'I should have chase after that cat just now'

Everything was already too late, he couldn't just turn back and catch that cat and so, he continued forward and to one of the blacksmiths he goes.

Without any disguise covering his face, everybody at the town was shocked seeing his appearance at the bustling town in the afternoon, full of merchants and others doing their business.

Most of the merchants offered him to come to their shops, but he declined their offer, knowing he needs to go somewhere else.

He saw a blacksmith shop on the street and decided to use that shop. As he was entering the shop, he could see the steel armour, swords that have carvings of flowers on them.

'This is not a blacksmith! More like a decorative shop' He thinks to himself as he looked around the shop and found the same stuff everywhere.

Not even a single armour could be used in war according to Arden, and he turned his attention to the shopkeeper.

The shop keeper stood behind the counter and even the shopkeeper was using the clothes that are better than most of the peasant but not better than a noble like himself.

He was smiling as he saw a rich-looking man enter his shop and was about to wait for the money to start coming to him.

Arden approached him with a confused face after seeing the shop keeper smiling creepily. He leaned against the counter.

Arden looked around once again to confirm what he saw at the shop and then turned back to the shopkeeper and ask, "Hey, is there any leather armour? I need it for hunting session"

The shop keeper immediately turned his face from excited to a normal one, without an expression. His smile disappeared into thin air, can't be seen from the world Arden lived in anymore.

Arden was waiting for the answer patiently but getting agitated as time passes. The shop keeper became agitated as he was continuously looked by the "poor" man in his face.

Suddenly, the sound of a horse trampling the ground, the one he remembered from the group of knights on horseback charging into the enemy, but only a single horse this time.

The sound can be heard from outside the shop and behind the sound of the horse trampling the ground, he could hear the sound of wheels rotating.

"A carriage is coming here" He stated to the shopkeeper as he concludes the statement from the sound.

The shop keeper's smile immediately made a fresh smile at his face from the air. Arden raised one of his eyebrows as his back lean against the counter and waiting for whoever will enter the shop.

'No knight I knew use carriage for transport, it's probably a noblewoman,' He waited and waited.

The door slowly opened from the outside. It was an old man with peasant clothes on his body. Arden was shocked, he was expecting a noblewoman.

Turned out… he was right, it was a noblewoman, that old man with peasant clothes was a servant to the noblewoman and the noblewoman herself was… gorgeous, beautiful.

Her face was given by heaven, but her attitude was a gift from the king of hell. The old man barely touched her, but he was given a slap from her private guard.

She entered the shop while holding her fan close to her face and with style. Her dress barely not hit all the armour on the way.

The shop keeper still smiling at this point, but he could be seen nervously sweating. Arden leaned near to him and whisper to him, "You going to be in trouble because of this woman, good luck"

He quickly turned his back to the shopkeeper and making his way to leave the shop. On his way, he purposely steps on the part of the dress that was on the floor.

The noblewoman could feel him stepping on it and quickly screeched. Her guard seeing the woman screeching quickly unsheathed his sword and ran towards Arden.

The endpoint of the sword was pointing at Arden's body, and Arden didn't do anything about it. Once the sword was close enough, he quickly unsheathed his own sword and quickly hit the side of the sword coming to him.

The enemy's sword went off track and missed him completely. While Arden's sword, now near the neck of the private guard.

Arden quickly retracts his sword and sheathed it back to the scabbard, while the guard is trembling after almost getting into heaven.

Arden was about to leave the shop but he turned back and said with his badass face, "Once again you make a mess in my territory, I'll send you to hell personally"

The guards collapsed to the floor in fear but the noble he served didn't even care. She continues screeching even until Arden left the shop.

Arden didn't give a f*ck and went to a blacksmith without a door across the street. The shop was simple and not too much decorating.

"This is the armour I want! I could even use this at war!" He shouted loudly and went to the shopkeeper.

The shop keeper was a young girl, like 7 years old. Arden approached her and asked for a leather armour for him.

"Hey little girl, I want a leather armour, could you perhaps get it for me? I need it for hunting" The young girl smiled. The cuteness could fight against the face of the noblewoman Arden just met at the other store.

That young girl smiled to him and went to the back to grab the leather armour at the back. Arden waited and waited for the girl to come back and then she comes back.

But… behind her, a man with some muscle could be seen, his look barely look older than Arden and he is using the blacksmith apron which meant he is the blacksmith himself.

Arden smiled at him as he helped the young girl bring the leather armour for him. The girl and the man placed the armour at the counter and the man exited the counter.

He approached Arden and brought the leather armour with him and then he asked politely, "Sir, you want to try this?"

Arden smiled at him and answered "Yes, please"

And the blacksmith began helping Arden wear the leather armour, it was a simple armour and not too clean, perfect for camouflage, Arden would say.

Once they were done, Arden could feel the armour feel light and not too heavy, which could have meant the armour fit perfectly to his body and it was comfortable for him.

The blacksmith smiled at him and said, "It fits perfectly, sir!"

Arden just said a "yes" with his happy tone and began reaching for his bag of money.

The blacksmith looked at him doing that and stated the price, "That would be 1 Ren"

Arden looked at him and smiled and then took 1 Auren from his bag of money and then gave it to him. The money he has given to him was 10 fold the price of the armour.

The 6 years old was happy and smiled and the blacksmith was as happy as the girl behind the counter.
