Chapter 49: Jason....I'm your fath- brorher-in-law
The Roman demigods took shifts and kept watch around the mountain. They were very alert and on a look out for Atlas and his army. Jason was sitting beside me on a small boulder, flipping a gold coin, which I'm pretty sure turns into his Imperial gold gladius, very similar to Percy's Anaklusmos. "So... you two are a thing? or is it just casual. Oh wait... don't tell me, friends with benefits?" I asked hinting at him and Reyna.
"WHAT?! No! I like her, I just took the first step yesterday, kissed her for the first time." Jason was flustered, red behind the ears because of my incessant and indecent questioning. We talked for a few minutes, me trying to adjust the position of the.... whatever on my back, the occasional snore from the sleeping animals around me was very comforting though.
Jason: "You got someone back at camp?"
FUUUUUUUUUUUÜUUUUUCCCCCĶ...He asked the one question, I was trying to avoid but at the same time itching to say the Four Golden Words. The words being, "I'm boning your sister." Of course, we did not have səx yet, but Jason didn't need to know that.
Well, he is going to find out about it at some point of time might as well tell him and rip it off like a band-aid.
" *Sigh*, Jason, I'm about to say to you something that would most definitely shock you, . You're gonna find out about it at some point, so I'm gonna say it....."
There was a pregnant pause, anticipation building up, "Just tell me Max" Jason forehead now adorned with beads of sweat, dripping from the side of his face.
"Jason.... I like you."

I cracked a smile, seeing that Jason let out his breath which he held. Relief washed over him.
Jason: "For Fûck's sake Max! You retard! Dammit... you had me going there for a sec-"
"Thalia's alive."
It took a second for it to register, then Jason was off his rock, right in front of me, grabbing my collar with shaking hands. Reyna saw the commotion and hurried towards us, without alerting the rest.
Jason: "Don't you dare joke about this you son of a bîtćh. How do you now her name? Where is she? WHERE. IS. MY. SISTER?"
Reyna coming in, "Jason what's going on?"
Jason was practically snarling at me, sparks going of around his eyes. I think I had enough of pulling his leg. Don't want him to blast me when I'm holding up the sky. I'm white, not stupid.
He did not let go off me, so I just started, "It was, I think five to six years ago, I met her on a bus with two other demigods on the run from monsters and whatnot. It was a rough start at first, she thought I would trick them or something...."
I recalled every last detail of time I had with her, excluding the more steamy scenes. Jason during the course of my narration, let sitting down and listening, a hand on his forehead.
".... I don't know why you both were split. One a child of Zeus and another a child of Jupiter. But I would wager a certain god to have a hand in this. Its probably-"
Jason: "Juno"
I thought I was the only one, but interrupting people must be a demigod thing. "Yup. She is the most likely, Juno/Hera's penchant for messing with the children of Zeus/Jupiter is widely known and is no means a secret."
*BWOOOOOO*
The sound of the horn made Jason stand up and run to romans, shouting out commands Reyna was on his heels arming themselves on the way, "Legion! Atlas is near! Each and everyone of us have their part to fulfil. Do that and we shall see glory, we shall taste victory. Mars Ultor is on our side this day. TO BATTLE STATIONS! SENATUS POPULES QUE ROMANUS!!"
"SPQR!!" The legion chorused with a mighty roar. Damn, they were like trained military, getting into their designated positions in less than a minute.
The faint rumbling of the ground was the only sound as they all waited for the monsters to reach them. The weight of the sky was starting to hurt as if if was growing heavier by the second. My arms were starting to get weak when, someone crashed into my side and pushed me off.
[NOOOO!] I screamed in my head as I turned to see who it was. "Jason?! What the hell are you doing?!"
He grunted as he took the Sky on his shoulders, "Go. Your strength is needed. I accept....I am not strong enough to take him on. But I have strength enough for this...*grunt* atleast for some time. Damnit! How the hell did you carry this for so long."
I wasn't convinced, "Dude, you are gonna get crushed. I don't think you can hold on for more than five minutes!"
Jason looked at me with determination, "Then defeat him quickly."
I chuckle, "You are one crazy SoB, you know that?"
Jason smirks, "The pot calling the kettle black?"
"Touche" I picked up my axe stuck on the rock and ran towards the battlefield ready to hew some heads.
